Eligibility Criteria
For Trade Apprentices (ITI):
Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10th standard and possess a valid ITI certificate in the respective trade from NCVT. Minimum 55% marks required for qualifying certificate for UR/OBC/EWS category candidates.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 31.01.2026. Age relaxation of 05 years for SC/ST candidates, 03 years for OBC candidates, and 40% for PwD candidates (VH/OH/HH) up to 10 years above the upper age limit.
EWS Certificate: Candidates belonging to EWS category must have valid EWS certificate issued during 2024-25.
Multiple Applications: Candidates can apply for multiple trades but must clearly mention their preference order from 1 to 8 in the application form.
For Engineering Apprentices:
Qualification: B.Tech/B.E/BBA/Diploma in Engineering in the relevant branch/discipline from recognized university/institution. Minimum 55% marks for UR/OBC/EWS candidates and passing marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 31.01.2026. Age relaxation of 05 years for SC/ST candidates, 03 years for OBC candidates, and 40% for PwD candidates (VH/OH/HH) up to 10 years above the upper age limit.
EWS Certificate: Candidates belonging to EWS category must have valid EWS certificate issued during 2024-25.
Domicile Certificate: Valid domicile certificate is mandatory for candidates claiming reservation.
Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must be medically fit as per Apprentices Act 1961 and Training Rules 2025.
Candidates must not have undergone apprenticeship training under Apprentices Act 1961 earlier at any THDC location.
Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
Candidates should not be above 18 years of age on 31.01.2026.
Desirable:
Candidates having knowledge of computers will be preferred.
Priority will be given to candidates from Uttarakhand state for reserved categories.
Salary/Stipend
Stipend will be paid as per Apprentices Act 1961 and Training (Amendment) Rules 2025.
For Trade Apprentices, stipend will be as per the norms prescribed by the Government.
For Engineering Apprentices, stipend will be paid as per the prescribed rates for Graduate/Diploma apprentices.
The stipend amount may vary based on the qualification and experience of the candidate.

Selection Process
Selection will be based on merit only.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their percentage of marks obtained in their qualifying examination (ITI/B.Tech/B.E/BBA/Diploma).
For Trade Apprentices, merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in ITI certificate examination.
For Engineering Apprentices, merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in B.Tech/B.E/BBA/Diploma examination.
Candidates must register on the NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) and complete the enrollment process.
The final selection will be made based on the merit list prepared by THDC India Limited.
Selected candidates will be called for document verification.
Medical fitness certificate will be required at the time of joining.
