THDC ITI Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must be a domicile of Uttarakhand.
• Candidate must have passed 10th (SSC/Matric) and ITI (regular) in the relevant trade (COPA or Stenographer/Secretarial Assistant – Hindi) in the years 2023, 2024 or 2025.
• Only those candidates who have successfully passed ITI (regular) in 2023, 2024 and 2025 are eligible; candidates whose results are awaited are not eligible to apply.
• Minimum age: 18 years and maximum age: 30 years as on the last date of submission of application.
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and 10 years for candidates with 40% or more disability (PH) as per rules.
• Only candidates who have not undergone apprenticeship training after completion of education in any organization are eligible; those who have already undergone apprenticeship training will not be considered.
• Candidates from Project Affected Families (PAF) and Project Affected Areas (PAA) of Tehri and Koteshwar will be given preference.

Salary/Stipend

• Stipend will be payable per month as per the provisions of Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
• The exact stipend amount is not specified in the notification and will be as applicable under the Act and Rules for ITI trade apprentices.
• No employment will be provided by THDC after completion of apprenticeship training; it is only a training engagement.

Age Limit (as on Last Date)

• Minimum age: 18 years as on the last date of submission of application.

Selection Process

• Selection of eligible candidates will be based on merit prepared from marks obtained in ITI examination in the relevant trade.
• If two or more candidates secure the same marks, the candidate with higher age will be given preference.
• There will be no interview for the selection of candidates for apprenticeship training.
• Only eligible candidates possessing all required qualifications as on the last date will be considered; management reserves the right to modify, reschedule, cancel or suspend the selection process without notice.

General Information/Instructions

• Only candidates who are residents of Uttarakhand are eligible to apply for this apprenticeship training.
• Age and educational qualification of candidates must be completed as on the last date of submission; candidates with awaited results should not apply.
• No employment in THDC will be provided after completion of apprenticeship training.
• Candidates must arrange their own accommodation and travel to the training location at Tehri and Koteshwar.
• Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training in any organization after completing their education are not eligible for apprenticeship again.
• Candidates must ensure they meet the required qualifications; if any incorrect information or invalid documents are found at the time of joining or thereafter, the candidature will be cancelled without assigning any reason.
• Number of notified vacancies may be changed at the discretion of management.
• Corrigendum, modification and updates related to the selection process will be available only in the “Recruitment” section of THDC website www.thdc.co.in; no separate publication will be made in newspapers or other media.
• Candidates are advised to regularly check the THDC website for updates related to apprentice recruitment.
• EWS candidates must not fall under SC/ST/OBC-NCL reservation scheme and must produce valid Income and Asset Certificate from competent authority as per prescribed norms.
• OBC applicants must upload a valid OBC caste certificate and NCL certificate issued by competent authority in Central Government format for the current year.

How to Apply

• Candidates must first register on the Apprenticeship portal at www.apprenticeshipindia.org and obtain an enrolment/registration number.
• The generated registration number from www.apprenticeshipindia.org must be printed and mentioned in the application form; candidates without registration number will not be engaged as apprentices.
• Candidates must download the prescribed application form from THDC website www.thdc.co.in.
• The duly filled application form, along with self-attested photocopies of required documents, must be sent by post in an envelope superscribed “Application for the Trade Apprentice-2026” to:

• Applications received after the last date or incomplete applications will be rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
• Candidates must attach self-attested copies of SSC/Matric mark sheet and certificate, ITI mark sheet and certificate, proof of date of birth (Matric certificate), caste certificate (if applicable), PH certificate (if applicable), character certificate, PAF/PAA certificate, Aadhaar card and printout of registration number from www.apprenticeshipindia.org.
• Candidates must also submit a medical fitness certificate issued by a Gazetted Medical Officer.
