(Aquatic Environment Management / Fisheries Resource Management / Fish Physiology & Biochemistry / Aquaculture / Fish Quality Assurance and Management / Fish Processing Technology / Fisheries Technology and Fishing Engineering / Fish Nutrition and Feed Technology / Fish pathology and Health Management / Fish Biotechnology / M.Sc. Marine Biology / Zoology / Equivalent etc.,; Ph.D. in the concerned discipline
Other conditions:
- The job involves halting during visit to fish landing centres in selected fishing villages
- Selected candidates may be required to travel in sea for water, sediment and fish sample collection regularly
Desirable:
- Hands on experience in water and sediment sample collection and laboratory analysis
- To collect data and fish specimens from fish landing centres and their identification
- To carry out aquatic biodiversity assessment and analysis
- Heavy metals analysis with AAS
Who Cannot Apply for TNJFU Recruitment 2026
- Candidates who do not send a Certificate or Provisional Certificate for Graduation and Post Graduation will have their application rejected.
TNJFU Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Job Description
- The selected candidate is to be engaged in fish sampling in the fish landing centres, data collection and analysis.
- Carry out laboratory work on water and sediment sample analysis.
- Plankton sample collection and identification.
- Recording the occurrence, abundance data and morphometric measurements of collected fish specimen from the fish landing centres for biodiversity assessment.
- Collect water and sediment samples from near shore and territorial waters.
- Paper writing and report compilation.
- Any other scientific/technical jobs assigned from time to time.
