Eligibility Criteria
Project Associate:
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Forestry) or M.Sc. Environmental Science
- Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of plant taxonomy, species identification, field data collection, preparation of herbarium specimen, digitalization, data entry and handling of software
Field Assistant:
- Essential Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline from Govt. recognized University/Institution
- Desirable Qualification: Should have experience of field work, knowledge of local vegetation, basic skills in field data collection, maintaining of records and MS Office
Salary / Stipend
- Project Associate: Rs. 25,000/- per month fixed + Rs. 1,000/- HRA as per University rules
- Field Assistant: Rs. 18,000/- per month fixed + Rs. 1,000/- HRA as per University rules
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 45 Years
- Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved category candidates as per Government of India norms

Selection Process
- Evaluation of documentation submitted by candidates
- Walk-in interview will be held on 30/01/2026 (Friday) at 11:00 AM in the office chamber of the Associate Professor & Head, Department of Silviculture & Agroforestry
- No separate interview letter will be issued
- Candidates must appear at their own expenses
- All original testimonials must be brought at the time of interview
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview
General Information / Instructions
- The applicant must be a citizen of India
- The engagement is purely on temporary basis and is initially for a period of 11 months, may be extended/curtailed subject to availability of fund or termination of the project
- The engagement can be terminated at any time by issuing one month notice if progress is unsatisfactory
- Candidates have no claim for regularization as posts are purely temporary
- Selected candidate must sign engagement contract agreement on stamp paper at the time of joining
- The engagement contract agreement shall be renewed on yearly and performance basis
- Selected candidate wishing to resign must provide one month's notice or deposit one month's salary
- Applicants already working in any project should send their application through proper channel
- The University will not accept arguments such as breakdown, mail, communication, illness etc. for non-attendance of interview
- Incomplete applications or those received after last date will be rejected straightway
- Candidates having marks in CGPA/OGPA should attach approved conversion table/formula along with application form
- The undersigned reserves the right not to fill up the post without assigning any reason
