Qualification

For Classes I-V: 

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 2 year D.El.Ed or
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 4 Year B.El.Ed or
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 2 Year D.Ed and passed in Punjab Eligibility Test (TET)
For Classes VI-VIII: 
  • BA/ B.Sc and 2 Year D.El.Ed or BA/ B.Sc with at least 50% marks and 1 Year B.Ed or
  • BA/B.Sc with at least 45% marks and 1 year B.Ed or Sr Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks and 4 year B.El.Ed) or
  • Sr Secondary (or its equivalent) ) with at least 50% marks and 4 year BA/ B.Sc.Ed or BA.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed or
  • BA/ B.Sc with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed (Special Education)
  • and pass in TET

    As per the notification who possess Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year diploma in Elementary Education or Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed are eligible to apply for PSTET.

    As per the notification of PSTET candidates who possess Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 50% marks and passed or appeared in final year of 2 year diploma in Elementary education for are eligible for becoming Teachers for classes I-V(Primary stage) and Candidates who possess Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary education or Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in One year Bachelor in Education are eligible for becoming Teachers for classes VI-VIII.
