Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree from Science faculty from a recognized institution OR Bachelor (Fire Engineering) OR Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile) + Passed Divisional Officer Course from National Fire College, Nagpur OR completed minimum 3 months training for senior supervisory officer from other Central Government recognized institutions.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years in fire fighting field, including at least 2 years in senior supervisory equivalent post (Pay Level-11 or equivalent). Remaining 10 years in Pay Level-7 or 9 or equivalent. Experience certificate from controlling officer required. Candidates from Central/other states with Pay Level-8/10 experience may apply (counted for non-senior supervisory portion).
Salary/ Stipend
Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)
- Minimum 40 years and maximum 55 years.
- Relaxation: 5 years for regular Bihar Government employees (with conditions on attempts post-12.12.2022); 3 years + service period for ex-servicemen (max actual age 57 years).
- Retirement age: 60 years.
Application Fee
- ₹100 (One Hundred Rupees) for each candidate + bank charges.
- Additional ₹200 Biometric fee if Aadhaar not provided in application.

Selection Process
- Academic Qualification: Maximum 50 marks (divided into Matric, Intermediate, Graduation with First/Second/Third Division).
- Work Experience: Maximum 20 marks (2 marks per extra full year beyond 12 years).
- Interview: Maximum 30 marks.
- Total: 100 marks. Possible screening test if large number of applicants. Document verification mandatory before interview.

- Women get 35% horizontal reservation (Bihar domiciles only).
