District Health & Family Welfare Samiti (DHFWS), Uttar Dinajpur has released the official notification for Community Health Officer (CHO) Recruitment 2026, inviting online applications for 98 contractual vacancies at Health & Wellness Centres under the district. Eligible candidates can apply online through the State Health Department recruitment portal at www.wbhealth.gov.in within the stipulated dates.
Online applications are invited as per Memo No. DHFWS/UD/ADV/CHO/0887/26 dated 16/02/2026 for engagement of CHO (Nursing) and CHO (BAMS) purely on contractual basis under District Health & Family Welfare Samiti, Uttar Dinajpur. Only applications submitted through the online recruitment portal of WB Health will be accepted.

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through the following stages as per category-wise criteria mentioned in the notification.
- Written Examination – For B.Sc Nursing with Integrated BPCCHN / GNM / Post Basic B.Sc / B.Sc Nursing candidates: merit list based on written test (85% weightage).
- Academic Merit – For BAMS candidates: merit list based on academic result (85% weightage).
- Interview – 15% weightage for all eligible shortlisted candidates.
- Document Verification – Verification of age, qualification, registration, residential, caste, EWS and other certificates as per point 16 of notification.
- Panel & Posting – Panel will be valid for 1 year; posting after online counselling to SC–Suswasthya Kendras of Uttar Dinajpur.
Bond & Service Conditions
- Selected CHOs after CPCH training must serve at least 3 years in Suswasthya Kendras; otherwise they shall pay Rs. 2,00,000/- to the Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of West Bengal.
- All posts are purely contractual and co-terminus with the scheme, extendable on performance and approval.

- On the Home page, click on the Recruitment menu under E‑Governance and open the Online Recruitment portal.
- Complete Online Registration within the stipulated dates and note down your Application ID for future use.
- Fill the online application form carefully with personal, educational and other required details as per eligibility.
- Upload required documents such as photograph, signature and relevant certificates in the prescribed format.
- Pay the applicable application fee online through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI.
- Submit the application form, then download and take a printout of the duly filled form for future reference and document verification.
