ESIC Ranchi Faculty Vacancy 2026

ESIC has notified a total of 85 posts across 25 departments: 7 Professor, 20 Associate Professor, 19 Assistant Professor, and 39 Senior Resident posts. The department-wise and category-wise vacancy position is given below.

Educational Qualification

Educational qualifications are as per National Medical Commission (NMC, erstwhile MCI) guidelines dated 30 June 2025. Candidates must hold MBBS along with the relevant postgraduate/super-specialty qualification (MD/MS/DNB or equivalent) and an updated State/NMC Medical Registration for the post and department applied for. EWS candidates must submit the EWS Certificate as per Annexure-I of DoPT Office Memorandum No. 36039/1/2019-Estt(Res), dated 31 January 2019, based on F.Y. 2025-26 and issued on or after 1 April 2026. Retired employees/pensioners engaged under this advertisement may draw their total pay without deduction, as this is not treated as re-employment under the Central Civil Services (Fixation of Pay of Re-employed Pensioner) Orders, 1986, and they can continue to draw pension and dearness relief during the contract period. ESIC Ranchi Faculty Contract Terms 

• Tenure: 1 year, extendable annually up to a maximum of 3 years, subject to satisfactory performance, or till a regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier.
• Leave: 2.5 days of paid Earned Leave for each completed month of work, pro-rata, credited after completion of the working month; no half-pay leave, advance leave, or leave encashment.
• Termination/Resignation: Either side may terminate with one month's prior notice; spot resignation requires depositing one month's salary into the ESI account.
• Security Deposit: Rs. 30,000 (non-interest bearing) as a Demand Draft in favour of "ESIC Saving Fund Account No. 2", payable at Namkum, at the time of joining - refundable after successful completion of the contract with a "No Dues Certificate".
• Private practice of any kind is strictly prohibited, and simultaneous teaching engagement at another hospital/medical college is not permitted.
• No accommodation is provided; attendance must be marked manually as well as on the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS).
• Absence beyond 7 days without proper permission is treated as voluntary abandonment and results in automatic termination.
