GSSSB MPHS Eligibility Criteria
Citizenship
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen, or possess the nationality prescribed under Rule 7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
Gender
- Only male candidates are eligible; women cannot apply for this cadre.
GSSSB MPHS Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- Successfully passed a minimum 1-year Multi-Purpose Health Worker basic course, or a certificate/diploma course, from a government-recognized educational institution; OR
- Passed a minimum 1-year Diploma Course in Sanitary Inspector from a government-recognized educational institution; OR
- Passed a minimum 1-year Health Sanitary Inspector course from an Industrial Training Institute or another government-recognized institution;
AND
- Possess basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; AND
- Possess adequate knowledge of Hindi or Gujarati, or both.
Note: final selection will take into account all provisions of the applicable recruitment rules (Health & Family Welfare Department Recruitment Rules dated 30-09-2023) beyond what's summarized in the application form.
GSSSB MPHS Age Limit
- As on 15-08-2026, candidates must be not less than 18 years and not more than 33 years of age.
- The upper age limit may be relaxed for candidates already in Gujarat Government service, per the 1967 Rules.

GSSSB MPHS Salary
- For the first 5 years: a fixed monthly pay of Rs. 26,000, plus other applicable benefits per Finance Department resolutions.
- After 5 years, subject to satisfactory service: regular appointment at 7th Pay Commission Level-4 (Rs. 25,500–81,100) - this is subject to the outcome of pending Supreme Court cases (SLP No. 14124/2012 and SLP No. 14125/2012).

Fees must be paid online only (Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or Wallet) after obtaining the Confirmation Number, by 18-08-2026, 11:59 PM. A transaction fee applies in addition to the exam fee. - A single-stage objective MCQ-based competitive exam (CBRT/OMR), conducted in two parts - Part-A and Part-B.
- Part-A: 90 questions, 90 marks. Part-B: 120 questions, 120 marks. Total: 210 questions, 210 marks.
- Combined duration for both parts: 3 hours (180 minutes).
- Negative marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer.

GSSSB MPHS Passing Standard
- Part-A and Part-B each have an independent minimum qualifying standard of 40%. No category may qualify below 40% on either part, and no relaxation is stated for any category.
- After results, all candidates who appear are given a provisional result published on the Board's website.
Sports Quota - Additional Marks
Candidates who have represented India/their state at (i) National/International, (ii) Inter-University, or (iii) All India School-level competitions in specified sports (Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Swimming, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Tennis, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Judo, Rifle Shooting, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Archery, Equestrian, Shot Put, Rowing, Chess, and Handball) are eligible for an additional 5% of their exam marks added for merit ranking, subject to producing the prescribed certificate at document verification. If the certificate is not established as valid, the 5% addition is withdrawn and merit is redetermined.
How to Apply for GSSSB MPHS Recruitment 2026
- Visit ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
- Click "Online Application," then "Apply," and select GSSSB.
- Click on Advertisement No. 452/202627 (Multi Purpose Health Supervisor, Class-3), read "More Details," then click "Apply Now."
- In the new window, click "Skip" to open the Application Format, then fill in Personal Details (fields marked with a red asterisk are mandatory). Note: completing One Time Registration (OTR) alone does not count as having applied for this advertisement.
- Fill in Educational Details.
- Accept the "Assurance" declaration by selecting "Yes," then click "Save" - this generates an Application Number, which must be saved.
- Go to "Upload Photograph," enter the Application Number and Birth Date, click OK, then upload a photo (5 cm height × 3.6 cm width) and signature (2.5 cm height × 7.5 cm width), both in JPG format under 15 KB. The photo must be passport-size, white background, with the photo-taken date not older than 1 year from the last date of application. Keep 4–5 copies of the same photo for use at every stage of the recruitment process.
- Go to "Confirm Application," enter the Application Number and Birth Date, click OK. Review Basic Details; edit if needed - no correction is possible after confirming. Click "Confirm Application" to generate a Confirmation Number, which is required for all further correspondence.

GSSSB MPHS Exam Centre and Scribe/Compensatory Time
- Exam centres are decided by the Board based on the number of registered candidates; candidates must appear at their allotted centre at their own expense.
- Exam date, timing, and admit card details will be published on gsssb.gujarat.gov.in.
- Eligible Persons with Benchmark Disability or writing-limited candidates may apply for a scribe or compensatory time (20 minutes per hour of exam) by submitting the required form and certificates via email to [email protected] at least 2 days before the exam, after downloading the admit card.
GSSSB MPHS Selection Process and Appointment
- After the provisional result, candidates meeting the qualifying standard in both Part-A and Part-B are called for document verification, in merit order, up to approximately twice the category-wise vacancies.
- If enough eligible candidates aren't found after verifying the first list, additional candidates are called from the provisional merit list as needed.
- The final selection list and, where applicable, a waiting list, are prepared based on marks and category-wise vacancies.
- The Board recommends selected candidates to the relevant government department for appointment. Passing the written exam does not itself guarantee appointment - the appointing authority must be satisfied the candidate is suitable in all respects.
- Appointed candidates must undergo government-prescribed training and pass the training exam.
Important Instructions
- Category (caste) details, once confirmed in the online application, cannot be changed later; a correction requires a fresh application (with a new Confirmation Number and fee) before the last date.
- Details filled in the application are treated as final for the entire recruitment process; original supporting documents must be produced at verification.
- Candidates with a foreign university degree must submit UGC equivalence documents at the time of certificate verification.
- The Gujarat Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2023, applies to this exam, since GSSSB is a designated Examination Authority under the Act; violations attract legal action under the Act in addition to disqualification/debarment.
