Note: This is a Special Recruitment Drive only for Persons with Disabilities (Divyang). Vacancies are reserved specifically for Hard of Hearing (HH) category.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Possess a bachelor's degree in chemistry as the principal subject from a recognized university or institution.
- Experience: About two years experience: (a) on the post not below Chemical Assistant Class III in Commissionerate of Geology and Mining, Gujarat State; or (b) chemical analysis of rock, minerals, ores using conventional and analytical instrumentation in Government/Local Bodies/Government undertaking/Board/Corporation/University/private or public sector lab (equivalent rank).
- Other Requirements: Basic knowledge of computer applications as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules, 1967; adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Salary/ Stipend
- Fixed salary of ₹49,600 per month for the first five years.
- After five years (if services satisfactory): Regular pay scale ₹39,900 – ₹1,26,600 (Level-7) as per 7th Pay Commission rules and resolutions.
- Subject to ongoing Supreme Court matters (SLP No.14124/2012 and 14125/2012).
Age Limit (as on 13 February 2026)
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 37 years
- Relaxation for PwD candidates: 10 years for General male PwD; 15 years for General female PwD; 15 years for Reserved male PwD; 20 years for Reserved female PwD (maximum up to 45 years in all cases).
