Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering/Mathematics/Statistics/Commerce/Information technology or a Three-Year Diploma in engineering and technology.
- Essential qualifications: Minimum 60% marks in the qualifying degree for all categories.
- Experience: For Commerce category with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the relevant field (if applying for YP-I).
Salary/Stipend
- A consolidated amount of Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand Only) p.m. will be paid to the selected Young Professional-I (Y.P.-I).
- The Income Tax or any other Tax liable to be deducted as per the prevailing rules will be deducted at source before effecting payment of monthly salary.
Age Limit (as on 26-12-2025)
- Minimum age: 21 years.
- Maximum age: 45 years.
- Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PH candidates as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process
- Selection will be conducted via a Walk-In-Interview (Hybrid Mode).
- Link for the hybrid mode interview will be shared through the communicated email ID of the applicants.
- Candidates must bring all original experience/testimonials at the time of the interview for verification.
- The Director's decision will be final and binding in all respects.
General Information/Instructions
- The engagement will be for four months initially (01st January, 2026 to 30th April, 2026), subject to satisfactory performance. It may be extended for another two months or till the end of the project whichever is earlier.
- The engagement does not constitute a regular job or appointment of any nature in the ICAR.
- Working hours for the YPs will be the same as regular employees of ICAR.
- YPs are eligible for 08 days casual leave and 02 restricted holidays on a pro-rata basis.
- Female YPs are entitled to maternity leave as per provision in the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act 2017.
- No T.A./D.A. will be paid for appearing in the interview. TA/DA is admissible to YPs for undertaking domestic tour for official work.
