Educational/Professional Qualification
- A qualified Chartered Accountant

Work Experience
Minimum fifteen (15) years in overseeing financial operations, preferably accounting and taxation matters, in Banks/large corporates/PSUs/FIs/financial services organizations, of which ten (10) years should be in Banks/FIs, of which five (5) years should be at Senior Management level.

Nationality/Citizenship
A candidate must be either:
- a Citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or

IOB Chief Financial Officer: Roles & Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Overseeing the statutory auditing process, reporting audit results as per SEBI requirements, monitoring critical financial parameters (Non-Interest Income, ROA, ROE etc.), coordinating with NFRA and RBI on auditor-related issues, and handling Whole Bank Long Form Audit Report (WBLFAR) matters.
- Tax Compliance: Optimization of the Bank's tax liability, GST and TDS compliance.
- Accounting Systems: Developing and maintaining accounting systems per Accounting Standards and RBI Guidelines, Internal Financial Controls over Financial Reporting (IFCOFR), and implementation of IFRS/IND AS.
- Management Reporting: Coordinating with the Financial Control Department for review of regional and Whole Bank performance.
- International Banking Activities: Supporting the International Banking Group on accounting and tax compliance as per local regulators.
- Other Activities: Overseeing MIS reporting systems, strategic capital planning, balance sheet optimization, medium-term financial strategy, and managing stakeholder relationships with regulators, government, rating agencies, and investors.
IOB Chief Financial Officer Selection Process 2026
- Selection will be through Personal Interview/Discussion. The Bank may carry out a preliminary screening of applications to shortlist eligible candidates based on qualifications, suitability, and experience.
- Total marks allocated for the Personal Interview: 100.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 50 (45 for OBC/SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
- In case multiple candidates score the same cut-off marks, ranking will be done according to age, in descending order.

IOB Chief Financial Officer: Joining, Bond & Probation
- The selected candidate, at the time of joining, must execute a Bond of Rs. 3 lakhs to serve the Bank for a stipulated period of 3 years. The Bond will be invoked if the candidate resigns before the expiry of the bond period from the date of joining.
- On joining, the selected candidate will be on probation for a period of 1 year and subjected to continuous assessment. Confirmation depends on qualifying the assessment as per standards determined by the Bank.
- If the candidate fails to achieve the minimum stipulated standards, their services may be terminated.

- Applications can be submitted online only from 22.07.2026 to 05.08.2026; no other mode of application will be accepted.
