Candidates must possess a Degree in Electrical Engineering acquired through Regular/Full Time course from Universities/Institutes recognized by Government or accredited by bodies like UGC/AICTE.
The required post-qualification experience must be in execution of Electrical works at site for Building construction or industrial projects, with minimum 13 years of full time experience as on 12/12/2025.
Work experience must be in full time jobs on regular salary basis in the relevant area; freelance and entrepreneurial experience will not be considered.
Period of on-the-job training as MT/ET/GT in PSUs and apprenticeship under Apprenticeship Act will be considered for determining post-qualification experience, while articleship, internship, academic project, teaching or research experience will not be counted.
Upper age limit for General and EWS candidates is 50 years for the post, with relaxation of 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 5 years for SC/ST, and additional relaxations for PwD, J&K domicile and Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines.

Salary/Stipend
Engineer (Electrical) will receive consolidated remuneration of Rs. 80,910/- per month.
In addition to consolidated pay, selected candidates are eligible for metro/site allowance (if posted at metro or project site), subsidized accommodation if available or HRA in lieu, medical facilities, PF, Leave and GPA as per company rules for contract employees.
The engagement is on Full Time Fixed Tenure basis for various pipeline and other ongoing projects, with service conditions applicable to contract employees of MECON Limited.
Age Limit
Upper age limit for Engineer (Electrical) is 50 years for General and EWS candidates.
Age relaxation is 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Persons with Disabilities receive relaxation of 10 years for General, 13 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and 15 years for SC/ST, as per Government of India guidelines.
Candidates domiciled in J&K during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 get 5 years relaxation, and Ex-servicemen relaxation is as per extant Government guidelines.

Selection Process
The mode of selection is Personal Interview; however, the mode may be changed at the discretion of Management if required.
List of candidates called for Personal Interview, along with date, time and venue, will be uploaded on MECON’s official website and also communicated via registered e-mail IDs provided in the online application.
Candidature is subject to verification of details and documents at the time of interview or any stage of the recruitment/appointment process.
