Minimum Qualifying Marks for Interview

As per the notification, the full marks for the interview are 100, and the minimum qualifying marks are:

  • 41% for Unreserved category candidates.
  • 31% for candidates from Madhya Pradesh's domicile Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class (non-creamy layer), Economically Weaker Section, and Divyangjan categories.

Candidates scoring below these thresholds are treated as ineligible for selection.

Merit Determination Rules

The notification specifies the following tie-breaking order used to prepare the merit/selection list:

  1. Merit is first determined based on marks obtained in the interview.
  2. If two or more candidates have equal interview marks, priority is given to the candidate with a higher percentage in the mandatory qualifying examination (as specified in the advertisement).
  3. If the qualifying-examination percentage is also equal, priority is given to the candidate with a higher age.

Important Instructions

  • This declared result covers only the 87% main part of the advertised vacancies. The result for the remaining 13% provisional part will be declared only after the final judicial decision in the pending court matter related to OBC reservation.
  • As per General Administration Department instructions dated 07 November 2000, for Unreserved (open) posts, only those reserved-category candidates who qualify purely on merit - without availing any relaxation - are placed against open/unreserved posts.
  • As per General Administration Department instructions dated 10 February 1997, if a sufficient number of women candidates is not available for women-reserved posts, such posts are filled by male candidates of the same category.
  • The declared selection result is subject to the final outcome of pending cases before the Supreme Court (SLP No. 8764/2023 and SLP No. 12398/2023) and the Madhya Pradesh High Court (WP No. 5901/2019, WP No. 5596/2024, and other similar petitions).
  • The results of candidates who have pending court cases relevant to their candidature have been withheld and kept pending the final court decision.
  • If any computer or clerical error is found in the published result after declaration, the Commission reserves the right to correct the result.
