TGPSC AEE Civil Recruitment 2026 - Selection Process
Selection will be made through Written Examination (Objective Type) conducted via CBRT (Computer Based Recruitment Test) or OMR-based Offline mode, as decided by the Commission. The mode of examination will be notified through web note/press note and in the Hall Ticket. Final selection is subject to document verification and medical fitness. There shall be no waiting list.
Stage 1 – Written Examination (Objective Type)
The examination consists of two papers totalling 450 marks. Paper-I is General Studies and General Abilities (150 questions, 150 marks, 150 minutes) in bilingual (English & Telugu). Paper-II is Civil Engineering – Degree Level (150 questions, 300 marks, 150 minutes) in English only. Qualifying marks: OC/Sports/EWS – minimum 40%; BC – minimum 35%; SC/ST/PH – minimum 30%. Mere securing qualifying marks does not vest any right for selection. In case of multi-session CBRT, scores will be normalized as per the Commission's formula (Annexure-VII).
Stage 2 – Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original certificates. Candidates failing to produce originals will not be allowed to proceed. Government employees must produce No Objection Certificate from their Head of Office/Department.
Stage 3 – Medical Examination
Appointment of selected candidates is subject to being declared medically fit in the appropriate Medical Examination. The candidate should be of sound health, active habits, free from any bodily defect or infirmity.

Who should NOT apply for TGPSC AEE Civil Recruitment 2026?
- Candidates who do not hold a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Civil) from a UGC/AICTE recognized University/Institution as on 02/06/2026. Other engineering branches are not eligible.
- Candidates whose Civil Engineering degree result had not been declared by the concerned University as on 02/06/2026, even if the examination was conducted or result processing was in progress.
- Candidates whose Civil Engineering degree was obtained through Open University / Distance Education mode without UGC / AICTE / Distance Education Bureau recognition.
- Candidates born after 01/07/2008 (below 18 years as on 01/07/2026).
- Candidates born before 02/07/1982 (above 44 years as on 01/07/2026 for OC/General category) unless eligible for specific age relaxations, and even then, no one who reaches superannuation age after relaxation is eligible.
- Candidates belonging to other States who are seeking reservation benefits; inter-state candidates are not entitled to any reservation under Telangana rules.
- OBC candidates from the Creamy Layer applying under BC reservation; only Non-Creamy Layer BC candidates with a valid NCL certificate from a Telangana Tahsildar are entitled to BC reservation.
- Candidates who are Government employees of Corporations, Municipalities etc. seeking age relaxation under the "Government Employee" category; only regular Telangana State Government employees are eligible for that relaxation.
- Candidates who do not have a valid TGPSC OTR (One Time Registration); OTR is mandatory before the application can be submitted.

Common mistakes / What to check before applying TGPSC AEE Civil Recruitment 2026?
- Not completing OTR (One Time Registration) before applying; the application cannot be submitted without a valid TGPSC ID generated through OTR.
- Failing to correctly update PH/Disability status in OTR; if PH status is not updated in OTR, the applicant will not be considered for PH vacancies even if eligible.
- Not verifying that the result of the qualifying examination was declared by the University on or before 02/06/2026; "appeared" or "awaiting result" does not satisfy the educational qualification requirement.
- Applying for the wrong Multi Zone (Zone-I or Zone-II) without verifying local candidate eligibility based on study/residence history; local reservation (95%) is applied zone-wise.

- BC candidates failing to obtain a fresh Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate in the prescribed Form-VIIB from a Telangana Tahsildar/RDO in the name of the applicant with Father's/Mother's name; old or improperly issued NCL certificates will result in candidature being treated as OC/General.
- Claiming exemption from Examination Fee (Rs.120/-) as "unemployed" without having a valid declaration; employed candidates in any Government/PSU/Corporations must pay the examination fee.
- Not clicking the "CONFIRM & SUBMIT" button after filling and previewing the application; unless this button is clicked, application particulars will not be saved in the database.
- Not noting down the Reference ID Number from the PDF application form for future correspondence, and not downloading/saving a copy of the submitted PDF application.

Important Instructions for TGPSC AEE Civil Recruitment 2026 Candidates
- The applicant must visit the Commission's website regularly for all updates; no individual communication will be sent under any circumstances.
- OTR (One Time Registration) is NOT an application for any post. Candidates must mandatorily submit a separate online application for this notification.
- The details available in the OTR database at the time of submitting the application will only be considered. Changes made in OTR after application submission will not be considered for this notification.
- Retain the mobile number and email ID registered in OTR throughout the recruitment process; they are required for OTP/SMS communications till finalization of the process.
- The Commission reserves the right to conduct the examination in OMR-based Offline mode or CBRT mode. The mode will be communicated through web note/press note and Hall Ticket.
- For multi-session CBRT, scores will be normalized as per the Commission's formula. Normalized marks may vary from original/absolute marks obtained. Only normalized marks will be used for General Ranking List (GRL) preparation.
- After publication of the answer key, objections can be raised online within the stipulated period with a fee of Rs.500/- per question through the TGPSC website. Objections through representations or emails will not be entertained. Fee for genuine, sustained objections will be reimbursed.
- Memorandum of Marks can be obtained after results through online payment of Rs.200/- for up to 30 days. Revaluation will not be undertaken under any circumstances.
- Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic gadgets, mobile/smart phones, tablets, calculators, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, pen drives, pagers or any other electronic equipment to the examination centre. Violation is punishable under Act No.25/1997 with imprisonment of 3 to 7 years and fine of Rs.5,000 to Rs.1,00,000.
- The applicant should be willing to serve anywhere in Telangana State. The appointed candidate is liable to be posted in any district of the concerned Multi Zone.
- Any candidate found impersonating or resorting to irregular means will be liable for criminal prosecution and permanent debarment from all Public Service Commission examinations in India.
