Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualification for Quantitative Investigator: Minimum Bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline (preferably in Social Sciences or related fields). Fluency in Assamese is mandatory
• Desirable Qualification for Quantitative Investigator: Preferably 2 projects done in survey data collection or field research. Experience of working in rural settings. Selected candidates should be willing to temporarily relocate or travel to the NRL project locations as required.
• Essential Qualification for Qualitative Investigator: Minimum Master's degree in Social Work or any Social Science discipline. Fluency in Assamese is mandatory
• Desirable Qualification for Qualitative Investigator: Preferably 2 projects done in survey data collection or field research. Experience of working in rural settings. Selected candidates should be willing to temporarily relocate or travel to the NRL project locations as required.

Salary/Stipend

• Quantitative Investigator: ₹ 20,000 per month (consolidated for data collection & entry work, including applicable tax)
• Qualitative Investigator: ₹ 25,000 per month (consolidated for data collection & entry work, including applicable tax)

• Shortlisted candidates shall be informed via email and/or WhatsApp to appear for the personal interaction (online). The tentative interview date is 28 February 2026 (Saturday). The meeting link shall be shared with the shortlisted candidates.

General Information/Instructions

• The Institute reserves the right not to fill the vacancy advertised. The Institute reserves the right to invite persons for an interview who may not have applied for the vacancy in accordance with the procedure.
• Since applications received will be shortlisted, merely possessing the prescribed minimum qualifications and experience would not entitle a person to be called for an interview in case of a high response.
• The position is unreserved, but candidates belonging to reserved categories are encouraged to apply.
