Selection Process

Candidates are selected through an interview held by the Selection Committee. If a large number of applications come in, they will be shortlisted on merit, based on academic performance and experience. Only shortlisted candidates in the ratio of 1:5 will be interviewed. No call letters will be issued.

The interview venue is the Directorate of Research, VNMKV, Parbhani. Report by 10:30 AM. Anyone who arrives after 11:00 AM will be treated as absent.

Service Conditions

• The posts are purely temporary and contractual. The contract runs initially up to 31 March 2027. It may be extended based on your performance or until the project ends, whichever is earlier.
• The positions are non-regular, time-bound and co-terminus with the project. Selected candidates cannot claim a regular appointment at the institute.
• Selected candidates join under the Oilseeds Specialist and Principal Investigator, National Mission on High Yielding Seeds (NMHYS), ORS, Latur.
• You must give an undertaking that you will not leave the assignment halfway and will complete the seed target in the prescribed time limit. To resign, you must give one month's notice or pay one month's amount instead.
• Selected candidates must sign a bond on stamp paper as per university rule.
• The Director of Research, VNMKV Parbhani may cancel or postpone the interview or cancel specific posts. He may also end the contract before the project is completed, and no appeal will be heard.
• No TA/DA or other expenses are paid for attending the interview.
• Hiding facts or canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification or termination.
• Any dispute will be settled only in the jurisdiction of Latur Court. The competent authority's decision is final.

How to Apply for VNMKV Field Assistant and Other Posts Recruitment 2026

1. Download the official notification and fill in the application format in Annexure-I. Use a separate form for each post you apply for. Forms that do not follow the prescribed format will be rejected.
2. Attach copies of all certificates from matriculation onwards, your date of birth certificate, NET or equivalent certificates and mark-sheets, proof of experience and publications, and your CV. Paste a recent photograph on the form.
3. If you are employed, attach a no objection certificate from your employer.
4. Fill in the Annexure-II declaration about relatives working at ICAR/IARI. If you have such a relative, you must declare their name, designation, nature of duties and relationship in writing and send it by post before the interview date. If this is declared only on the day of the interview, you will not be interviewed. Candidates with no such relatives hand in the declaration at the interview.
5. Send hard copies by post or deliver them in person to: The Oilseeds Specialist and Principal Investigator, Oilseeds Research Station, Nanded Road, Latur-413512. They must arrive by 5:00 p.m. on 5 November 2026.
6. Attend the walk-in interview on 13 November 2026 at the Directorate of Research, VNMKV, Parbhani, and report by 10:30 AM.

Bring to the interview: a hard copy of the filled application in the prescribed format, one set of self-attested photocopies of your certificates, your original certificates and two recent passport-size photographs.
