The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Chennai, a scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has released C-DAC Chennai Recruitment 2026 (Advt. No. C-DAC/CHN/02/RCT/2026, dated 04.09.2026) for the engagement of Project Staff on various contract positions. A total of 59 vacancies are available across Project Associate, Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, and Project Manager posts, purely on contract basis for up to 2 years or co-terminus with the project.

Project Associate (Fresher) – Post Code CDACC/PA/CHN/01

• Upper Age Limit: 30 Years (relaxation as per rules)
• Post-Qualification Relevant Experience: Nil
• Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics & Communication / Electrical & Electronics
• Desirable Skills: Java (J2SE, J2EE), Dot Net, CSS, HTML, jQuery, JavaScript, Bootstrap, AngularJS/Angular2/NodeJS/ReactJS, RESTful Web Services, Micro-Services, RDBMS, basic knowledge of Web services (REST, SOAP), basic JavaScript, and good communication skills in English and Hindi
• Consolidated Salary: ₹34,000/- per month; Minimum CTC/Annual Pay Package shall be ₹5.06 LPA

Project Engineer (Experienced) – Post Code CDACC/PE/CHN/02

Senior Project Engineer – Post Code CDACC/SPE/CHN/03

• Upper Age Limit: 40 Years (relaxation as per rules)
• Post-Qualification Relevant Experience: Minimum 4 Years
• Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech with 60% or equivalent CGPA in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics & Communication / Electrical & Electronics, OR Master’s degree in Computer Application with 60% or equivalent CGPA
• Desired Skills: Similar technology tracks as Project Engineer – Backend/Java Ecosystem, Frontend/Web Technologies, Networking, Other software/cloud skills, or Hardware Security & Cryptography, depending on the project requirement
• Work Profile: Managing a small team; designing and developing systems and applications; collaborating with other teams; gathering requirements and evaluating alternatives; determining operational feasibility; identifying and analysing user needs; or leading software-based PQC testing, validation and certification activities
• Consolidated Salary: ₹60,000/- per month (salary offer shall commensurate to qualification & relevant experience as per C-DAC policy); Minimum CTC/Annual Pay Package will be ₹8.65 per annum

Project Manager – Post Code CDACC/PM/CHN/04

• Upper Age Limit: 56 Years (relaxation as per rules)
• Post-Qualification Relevant Experience: Minimum 9 Years
• Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc/PhD with 60% or equivalent CGPA in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics & Communication / Electrical & Electronics, OR Post Graduate degree in Computer Application, OR PhD in relevant subject, each with 60% or equivalent CGPA
• Desired Skills: Cyber Security Knowledge (ICS/SCADA/OT systems, NIST/ISO27001/IEC62443, SIEM/EDR/Firewalls, CEH/CompTIA+/CISA/GICSP/OSCP certifications preferred) and Project Management (technical project leadership, JIRA/Asana/MS Project proficiency), along with technology tracks such as Backend/Java Ecosystem, Frontend/Web Technologies, Networking, AI and Data Science, or Hardware Security & Cryptography, depending on the project
• Work Profile: Project management; leading software-based PQC testing, validation, and certification activities; designing test suites and methodologies for hardware security assessment; establishing and maintaining PQC hardware evaluation infrastructure; guiding engineering teams engaged in hardware security evaluation
• Consolidated Salary: ₹90,000/- per month (salary offer shall commensurate to qualification & relevant experience as per C-DAC policy); Minimum CTC/Annual Pay Package shall be ₹12.80 LPA

C-DAC Chennai Salary

The table below summarises the consolidated monthly salary for each post.

For experienced posts, the salary offer will commensurate with the candidate’s qualification and relevant experience as per C-DAC policy. Selected candidates in contractual appointment will not have any claim or right to continuity of service or extension of the contract term.

Reservation Policy

• Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS shall apply at C-DAC as per Government of India norms.
• Candidates belonging to reserved categories must produce, if called for certificate verification, the original certificate issued by the competent authority in the format prescribed by DoPT, Government of India; otherwise they will not be permitted to join the selection process or claim reservation benefits.
• OBC candidates must produce a certificate in the Government of India prescribed format specifically stating that they do not belong to the “creamy layer”. OBC candidates belonging to the creamy layer are not eligible for OBC concession and must indicate their category as “General/Unreserved”.
• PWD category candidates must submit a disability certificate in the format prescribed by DoPT OM No. 36035/3/2004-Estt.(Res) dated 29.12.2005 (as amended). Only candidates with 40% or more disability are eligible for reservation under the PWD category.
• EWS category candidates must submit an Income and Asset Certificate issued by the competent authority in the format prescribed in Annexure-I of DoPT OM No. 36039/1/2019-Estt.(Res) dated 31.01.2019 (as amended).

8. Medical certificate (in case of PWD)
9. Income and Asset Certificate (in case of EWS)
10. Relevant documents as per notification, for any other categories claiming reservation/concession

Candidates who fail to produce any of the required documents will be liable to have their candidature/appointment, as the case may be, cancelled/terminated.
