Applications are invited under this Special Recruitment Drive for faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor Grade I and Grade II in the following disciplines:

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant area of research, with first class or equivalent at the preceding (penultimate) degree in the appropriate branch, and a consistently good academic record throughout.

Experience

• Assistant Professor Grade I (Level 12): Candidates with at least three years (post Ph.D.) industrial, research, or teaching experience will be considered.
• Assistant Professor Grade II (Level 10 and 11): Candidates with less than three years (post Ph.D.) industrial, research, or teaching experience will be considered.

Age Limit

• For the post of Assistant Professor (unreserved category), the candidate should be below 40 years of age.
• The age is reckoned as on the closing date of the advertisement, i.e., 26 December 2025.
• Relaxation in age to SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and PwD candidates is admissible as per Government of India norms.
• The reservation/category certificate must be valid as on the closing date of the advertisement and uploaded with the application.

Salary/Stipend

• Assistant Professor Grade II: Level 10 (Rs. 57,700 – Rs. 98,200) and Level 11 (Rs. 68,900 – Rs. 1,17,200) as per the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• Assistant Professor Grade I: Level 12 (Rs. 1,01,500 – Rs. 1,67,400) as per the 7th Central Pay Commission.

The posts also carry allowances as applicable to Central Government employees stationed at Palakkad, along with travel, relocation support, and professional development grants as detailed in the notification.

Selection Process

• The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates called for interview to a reasonable limit based on higher qualifications, experience, and academic achievements than the minimum prescribed.
• Shortlisting of candidates called for interview will be done area-wise/discipline-wise by the selection committee.
• Outstation candidates called for a personal interview will be paid economy class domestic airfare or 2nd AC train fare by the shortest route.
• Invitation for interview does not guarantee selection and does not imply acceptance of all conditions claimed by the candidate.

  • Three best publications from the last 10 years that best represent research contributions.
  • Certificates for category, physical disability, and NOC, as applicable.
• The portal also collects data on publications, funded projects, supervised students, post-Ph.D. experience, and details of at least three referees.

• Permanent faculty positions are open to Indian Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
• The positions are on a regular basis with a probation period of one year.
• Allowances applicable to Central Government employees located in Palakkad will be paid.
• Candidates employed in Government, Semi-Government, PSUs, Universities, and Educational Institutions must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their present employer.
