Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- Doctorate degree (PhD) or equivalent in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or Medical Biotechnology.
- Specialization in the area of Neurobiology is mandatory.
- Degree must be from a recognized University or Institute.
- Candidates must meet all minimum academic requirements at the time of interview.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Candidates with prior hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas will be strongly preferred:
- Handling and culturing of mammalian cell lines, especially neuronal cell lines.
- Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) generation and culture.
- Differentiation of stem cells into neurons and neural lineages.
- Analyzing function and cell signaling in neuronal cells.
- Developing and characterizing animal models of neuronal/neurodegenerative disorders.
- Molecular biology techniques including: gene cloning, Western blotting, protein analysis, RT-PCR/qPCR, co-immunoprecipitation, protein–protein interaction studies, and cellular signaling pathway analysis.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- In Vitro Model Development: Develop and optimize cell-based models of bipolar disorder using mammalian neuronal cell lines and iPSC-derived neurons.
- Culture & Differentiation: Establish and maintain optimal culture and differentiation protocols for neuronal cells and stem cells.
- Drug Screening: Conduct chemical/drug screening for bipolar disorder drug discovery using developed cell models.
- In Vivo Studies: Develop rodent models of bipolar disorder and perform behavioral and neurobiological characterization.
- Functional Analysis: Study disease progression and regulation at genetic and protein levels.
- Molecular Analysis: Perform gene expression studies, protein analysis, and signaling pathway characterization in vitro and in vivo.
- Therapeutics Development: Contribute to development of novel therapeutics and nutraceutical-based interventions for bipolar disorder.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed lab records, analyze data, and prepare reports/publication drafts.

Duration & Project Details
