Principal

Any one of the following:

• A trained M.Ed. degree (Hindi/English) or M.Sc. (Physics/Chemistry/Zoology/Botany/Mathematics/Computer Science) from a recognized university, along with at least 4 years of teaching experience in classes 9 to 12, or training as a Junior High School headmaster with at least 4 years of experience; candidate should not be less than 30 years of age.
• 10 years of teaching experience at the Intermediate level along with a first or second division postgraduate degree, or a third division postgraduate degree with 15 years of teaching experience.
• A trained postgraduate diploma passed in first or second division, along with 15 or 20 years of distinguished service respectively in a recognized institution.

PGT Hindi

M.A. in Hindi with Sanskrit, along with B.Ed., or a Shastri examination passed from the Government Sanskrit College, Varanasi (now Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi).

PGT English

A postgraduate degree (M.A.) in English from a Uttar Pradesh university or another recognized university established as per rules; preference will be given to candidates who additionally hold an L.T. diploma from a training college or a degree/diploma in Education.

PGT Mathematics

M.A. or M.Sc. in Mathematics; or B.Sc. (Honours) with a three-year Mathematics course.

Intermediate examination passed from the UP Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad or an equivalent examination, along with Computer Science as a separate subject in High School/Intermediate from an institution/school board/council run by the Centre or any state, or a CCC certificate from DOEACC/NIELIT (or an equivalent government-recognized certificate), or a diploma/degree in Computer Science, together with a minimum computer typing speed of 25 words per minute in Hindi and 30 words per minute in English.

• All posts under this notification are reserved exclusively for women candidates.
• The maximum age for serving in a Kasturba Gandhi Awasiya Balika Vidyalaya is 60 years.
• Selection of teaching and non-teaching staff in the upgraded KGBVs will be on a contract basis for a period of 11 months 29 days.
• If a working teacher's performance is found satisfactory, a new contract of 11 months 29 days will be issued for the following academic session after approval of the District Magistrate - meaning a fresh service contract is executed every year.
• The annual evaluation of a teacher's work and conduct will be carried out by the concerned Block Education Officer.
• The contract will provide that if services are found unsuitable, they may be terminated by giving one month's notice. In cases of serious circumstances, financial irregularity, or serious indiscipline, the District Basic Education Officer may place substantiated evidence before the District Magistrate, and upon approval, the contract may be terminated along with lodging of a First Information Report (FIR) against the concerned person.
• Incomplete, erroneous, unclear, unsigned, or improperly formatted applications, or those lacking required enclosures, will be rejected and will not be considered.
• Applications where only photocopies of certificates are sent by registered/speed post, without the original application form being filled and attached, will be treated as rejected.
• The district-level selection committee reserves the right to cancel the notification at any time, and no claim in this regard will be entertained. Full authority for any changes or corrections rests with the district-level selection committee.
