The vacancy count is provisional and may increase or decrease. Four percent of the total posts are reserved for Persons with Disabilities according to the applicable rules.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must satisfy the following educational and registration requirements:
- MBBS degree from a recognized university or institution.
- Postgraduate Degree, Diploma or DNB in the concerned specialty.
- Valid registration with the Delhi Medical Council.
- Candidates who have applied for Delhi Medical Council registration must produce proof of application at the walk-in interview.
- The candidate must not have completed three years of Senior Residency in any recognized institution on a regular or ad-hoc basis.
Eligibility for Non-PG Candidates
In specialties with a continuous shortage of eligible candidates, such as Radiology, Anaesthesia and Forensic Medicine, candidates with two years of experience in the concerned specialty may be allowed to attend the interview even without a postgraduate qualification.
Non-PG candidates can be selected only on an ad-hoc basis and will be considered when suitable postgraduate candidates are unavailable.
Eligibility for Candidates Who Completed Three Years of Senior Residency
In shortage specialties or when fresh candidates are unavailable, candidates who have already completed three years of Senior Residency may also be considered.
- A separate merit list will be prepared for fresh candidates and candidates who have completed three years of Senior Residency.
- Fresh candidates will be considered first.
- The second merit list will be used only after the fresh-candidate list is exhausted.
- Appointments from the second list will be for one year only and will not be renewable.

The age will be calculated as of the interview date, 24 September 2026.

Salary
Selected Senior Residents will receive salary under Pay Matrix Level 11 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Appointment Period
The initial appointment will be for 89 days or until a regular candidate joins, whichever is earlier.
The appointment may be extended, subject to satisfactory work performance, conduct report from the concerned Head of Department and a written request from the doctor. The total Senior Residency period, including previous Senior Residency experience, cannot exceed three years.
Application Fee
The official interview notice does not mention an application fee.

Category Certificate Requirements
- Only OBC certificates issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi will be accepted.
- OBC candidates must possess a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate for the current financial year.
- EWS candidates must possess a valid EWS certificate for the current financial year.
- If suitable reserved-category candidates are unavailable, vacancies may be filled temporarily from another category on an ad-hoc basis.

Important Instructions
