Eligibility Criteria

• Professor (Direct):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Ayurveda recognized under Schedule II of IMCC Act, 1970/NCISM Act, 2020.
  • MD/MS (Ay.) recognized by CCIM/NCISM in the concerned subject.
  • PhD in the concerned subject.
  • Fourteen years full-time Post Graduate teaching experience and/or Research experience in recognized Institutions/Research Council after obtaining MD/MS.
  • Minimum 10 published research papers at least in UGC CARE listed journals excluding PG and PhD work.
• Desirable (Professor): Experience of undertaking Research Projects as PI, Capacity to undertake/lead sponsored R&D consultancy, Patents filed/obtained, Research experience in recognized institution.
• Additional Professor (Direct):
  • Degree in Ayurveda recognized under Schedule-II of CCIM Act 1970/NCISM 2020.
  • MD/MS (Ay.) in concerned subject.
  • Ten years full-time Post Graduate teaching and/or Research experience.
  • Minimum 8 published research papers in UGC CARE listed journals excluding PG and PhD work.
• Desirable (Additional Professor): PhD, Experience of independent research projects as PI, Capacity to undertake/lead sponsored R&D, Patents, publication of books/technical reports, Research experience.
• Associate Professor (Direct):
  • Degree in Ayurveda recognized under Schedule II of CCIM Act, 1970/NCISM Act 2020.
  • MD/MS (Ay.) in concerned subject.
  • Six years full-time Post Graduate teaching and/or Research experience.
  • Minimum 5 published research papers in UGC CARE listed journals excluding PG and PhD work.
• Desirable (Associate Professor): PhD, Experience of independent research projects as PI, Capacity to undertake/lead sponsored R&D, Research experience.
• Assistant Professor (Direct):
  • Degree in Ayurveda recognized under Schedule II of CCIM Act, 1970/NCISM Act 2020.
  • MD/MS (Ay.) in concerned subject.
  • Three years full-time Post Graduate teaching and/or Research experience.
  • Minimum 3 published research papers in UGC CARE listed journals excluding PG and PhD work.
• Desirable (Assistant Professor): PhD in the concerned subject.

Salary/ Stipend

• Professor: Level-14A (Academic)
• Additional Professor: Level-13A2 (Academic)
• Associate Professor: Level-13A1 (Academic)
• Assistant Professor: Level-12 (Academic)
• These posts carry usual allowance as admissible to Central Government employees.

Age Limit

• Professor & Additional Professor (Direct): Not exceeding 55 years
• Associate Professor (Direct): Not exceeding 50 years
• Assistant Professor (Direct): Not exceeding 45 years
• Deputation: Age shall not exceed 58 years

Selection Process

• Screening/Interview/Written Test (as the case may be).
• The Competent Authority reserves the right to shortlist candidates on the basis of higher qualifications/year of experience/Screening Test/other criteria.
• If number of applications is high, a Screening Test may be conducted.

General Information/Instructions

• The qualification regarding experience is relaxable for SC/ST candidates at the discretion of Selection Committee.
• Initially tenure of deputation will be for two years, extendable subject to approval.
• Reservations do not apply to posts filled by deputation.
• Vacancies may increase or decrease. Institute reserves right not to fill any post.
• Any corrigendum will be issued only on the website https://aiia.gov.in
• Candidates must be citizen of India and should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
• Period of experience on part-time, daily wages, visiting/guest faculty will not be counted.
• Government servants must apply through proper channel and submit NOC at interview.
