Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant should be an Advocate on Record under Supreme Court Rules 1966 practicing before Hon'ble Supreme Court of India for empanelment before Supreme Court of India.
- Applicant should have not less than 08 years professional experience as an Advocate from the date of enrolment in Bar Council for Supreme Court empanelment.
- Applicant should be an Advocate enrolled with Bar Council of India with not less than 06 years professional experience as an Advocate from the date of enrolment in Bar Council for High Court of Delhi.
- Applicant should be an Advocate enrolled with Bar Council of India with not less than 06 years professional experience as an Advocate from the date of enrolment in Bar Council for National Green Tribunal, Principal Bench.
- Applicant should be an Advocate enrolled with Bar Council of India or State Bar Councils with not less than 06 years professional experience as an Advocate from the date of enrolment in Bar Council for Commissions and other Tribunals (Delhi Jurisdiction).
- Applicant should be an Advocate enrolled with Bar Council of India or State Bar Councils and member of District Bar Association with not less than 04 years professional experience as an Advocate from the date of enrolment in Bar Council for District Courts (Delhi Jurisdiction).
- Desirable: Already empanelled with Pollution Control Boards or Commission, Central/State Government, MoEF&CC, other Government Ministries, Statutory Organisations, PSUs and Central/State Government Departments, and experience of conducting cases on Environmental Laws in the National Green Tribunal, Principal Bench, Delhi.
Salary/Stipend
- Professional fee will be as per the terms and conditions issued from time to time by CPCB for empanelled Advocates.
Important Dates
Selection Process
- The Applications for empanelment of Advocates will be received in prescribed format along with supporting documents within the stipulated time.
- The list of empanelled candidates will be uploaded on the CPCB website after the screening process is completed by the Screening/Scrutinising Committee formed and approved by Competent Authority, CPCB.
- The initial empanelment will be for three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, and performance of empanelled Advocates shall be reviewed periodically.
- The Board reserves the right to renew the empanelment on completion of the term and satisfactory performance of the Advocate.
- The Board reserves the right to terminate the empanelment of any Advocate at any time without assigning any reason.
- Fulfilment of criteria for empanelment does not give the right to the applicant for empanelment.
- Successful empanelment does not give the right for entrustment of cases/court matters to empanelled Advocates.
- The existing Advocates on panel of CPCB need to re-apply for empanelment.
General Information/Instructions
- The eligible practicing Advocates may send their application in the prescribed format along with all supporting documents (scanned) through email to the Member Secretary, Central Pollution Control Board at [email protected].
- The hard-copy of the Application shall also be forwarded to the Member Secretary, Central Pollution Control Board, Parivesh Bhawan, East Arjun Nagar, Delhi-110032 within the stipulated time and date.
- The Application form may be downloaded from the website of CPCB.
- The initial empanelment will be for three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- Professional fee will be as per CPCB norms and terms and conditions for payment of professional fee to empanelled Advocates.
- The note in the application form states that all proofs attached should be self-attested by the applicant.
- Self-declaration in the application form requires that all information submitted by the applicant in the application form is correct and valid.
How to Apply
- Download the Application form for empanelment as CPCB Panel Advocate from the CPCB website.
- Fill the prescribed Application form addressed to The Member Secretary, Central Pollution Control Board, Parivesh Bhawan, East Arjun Nagar, Delhi-110032.
- Provide particulars such as Name, Father's Name, Date of Birth, Address for correspondence, Telephone numbers (mobile, landline) and email.
- Furnish details of Educational Qualification with proof attached.
- Provide Date of enrolment and Bar Council details with proof attached.
- Mention the Court/Forum for which empanelment is sought (Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, National Green Tribunal Principal Bench, District Courts (Delhi Jurisdiction), Central Administrative Tribunal Delhi Bench, Other Tribunals and Commissions (Delhi Jurisdiction)).
- Indicate field specialisation and number of cases in which the applicant appeared as counsel with details of case and proof attached.
- Provide details of empanelment with Pollution Control Boards or Commission, Central/State Government, MoEF&CC, other Government Ministries, Statutory Organisations, PSUs and Central/State Government Departments, if any.
- Provide Aadhaar Number with proof attached.
- Indicate knowledge of computers and participation through video-conferencing (Yes/No).
- Confirm knowledge of CPCB norms and the Terms & Conditions for Payment of Professional Fee to Empanelled Advocates (Yes/No).
- Sign the self-declaration stating that all information submitted in the application form is correct and valid.
- Send the scanned copy of the duly filled application form along with all supporting documents through email to [email protected].
- Forward the hard copy of the application form along with supporting documents to the Member Secretary, CPCB, Parivesh Bhawan, East Arjun Nagar, Delhi-110032 so as to reach on or before 23/01/2026 till 06:00 PM.
