Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
For Research Associates of Law, the essential qualifications, experience and other eligibility conditions shall be the same as those of an Assistant Professor as per norms prescribed by the UGC Regulations, 2018.
Other Conditions
- The applicant must not be engaged or appointed elsewhere on salary/honorarium payment basis.
- The applicant should not have been involved in any criminal case, whether pending or convicted, for an offence involving moral turpitude.
- The applicant must not be facing any disciplinary proceeding before the Bar Council of India, Bar Council of the State, Institutes or any other authority.

Instructions
- The contractual engagement shall not confer any right or claim for regular appointment or continuance beyond the period of engagement.
- Selected candidates shall be required to serve the University full-time; such appointment shall not be treated as regular appointment.
- A Research Associate of Law intending to leave before expiry of the term shall give prior notice of at least one month to the Office of the Vice Chancellor.
- Initial contract period will be for one semester, which may be extended by the appropriate authority.
- The date for determining eligibility (qualification, experience etc.) shall be the prescribed closing date for submission of the online application form.
- Applicants must upload valid experience certificates clearly specifying duration of service, pay scale and gross salary drawn.
- Soft copies of all publications (cover, copyright, ISSN/ISBN, author page etc.) and full research papers/articles must be submitted in the ORA form.
- Applicants must use a working mobile number and email ID and keep them active till completion of the selection process.
- Candidates must regularly check the University website and their email for updates regarding the advertisement.
- The University reserves the right to change terms of the advertisement or rectify errors at any stage.
- In case of any dispute, territorial jurisdiction shall be restricted to the Hon'ble High Court of Himachal Pradesh and District Courts at Shimla only.
