Trade Apprentice - Data Entry Operator Fresher (Code 113): Class 12th (but below graduate).
Trade Apprentice - Data Entry Operator Skill Certificate Holders (Code 114): Class 12th (but below graduate). Additionally, candidates should possess Skill Certificate of 'Domestic Data Entry Operator' for training of less than one year issued by an awarding body recognized under National Skill Qualifications Framework or any other authority recognized by the Central Government.
Essential Qualifications:
The qualification prescribed shall be from a recognized University/Institute as a full-time regular course in relevant disciplines.
Qualification acquired through Part-time/Correspondence/Distance Learning mode shall render the candidate NOT ELIGIBLE.
Wherever CGPA/OGPA or Letter Grade is awarded, its equivalent aggregate percentage of marks must be indicated in the Online Application as per the norms adopted by Board/University/Institute.
Diploma under recognized Institute/University lateral entry scheme (Class XII/ITI) admitted in the second year of Diploma course shall also be considered eligible subject to meeting prescribed percentage of marks.
Candidates must be registered with NAPS/NATS portal with valid and active Apprentice Registration/Enrolment Number.
Candidates must have an Aadhaar seeded bank account enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Candidates must possess PAN Card and Aadhaar Card.
Candidates must be medically fit as per Indian Oil's pre-engagement medical standard.
Desirable:
Preference shall be accorded to candidates applying for Apprenticeship training for the first time.
Candidates registered with Local/State Employment Exchange(s)/Vocational Rehabilitation Center for Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) and meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria are required to apply through NAPS/NATS portal.
Experience:
A candidate who has already undergone one apprenticeship training is eligible to apply for a second apprenticeship training, provided that the second apprenticeship is in a different trade from the first.
There shall be a minimum gap of one year between the completion of the first apprenticeship training and commencement of the second apprenticeship training.
No gap shall be required in case of termination of previous apprenticeship training due to failure on the part of the employer.
Diploma Holder or Vocational Certificate holder Candidates having job experience for a period of one year or more after the attainment of the qualification shall not be eligible to be engaged as Apprentice.
Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as B.E or equivalent, MBA or equivalent or MCA/CA/ICWA, LLB or any such equivalent or pursuing higher qualification and having completed the same on or before joining the apprenticeship training shall NOT be considered eligible.
Candidates applying under NATS/NAPS who have completed five years as on 31.12.2025 in relevant discipline after acquiring the prescribed qualification shall NOT BE ELIGIBLE for engagement as apprentices.
Salary/Stipend
Graduate Apprentice: Rs. 4,500/- per month from Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) + Remaining amount from IOCL + Rs. 2,500/- as Miscellaneous expenses.
Technician Apprentice: Rs. 4,000/- per month from Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) + Remaining amount from IOCL + Rs. 2,500/- as Miscellaneous expenses.
Trade Apprentice: Stipend as prescribed under Apprentices Act, 1961/1973, Apprentices Rules 1992/2019 (paid in full by IOCL) + Rs. 2,500/- as Miscellaneous expenses.
Rate of stipend payable to apprentices per month shall be as prescribed under Apprentices Act, 1961/1973, Apprentices Rules 1992/2019 as amended from time to time.
Over and above the statutory stipend, an additional amount of Rs. 2,500/- shall be paid to the Apprentices as Miscellaneous expenses.
The cost of stipend borne by the Central Government shall be restricted to the first-time training only.
Part of the Graduate and Technician apprentice stipend is disbursed by Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) directly in their bank accounts under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme.

Selection Process
There will be no written Test/Interview for selection.
Merit list of all candidates who have applied against respective posts in the portal and meeting the eligibility criteria shall be prepared based on the percentage of marks secured in the prescribed qualification for the post.
In case of two candidates securing same percentage of marks, the candidate with earlier date of birth (older in age) shall be considered.
In case of same date of birth, candidates having a higher percentage marks in matriculation shall be considered.
Preference shall be accorded to candidates applying for Apprenticeship training for the first time.
The shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
Candidates will have to complete Pre-engagement medical fitness test for being adjudged suitable for engagement.
Candidates successfully qualifying document verification and Pre-engagement medical fitness shall be adjudged suitable for engagement and shall be issued offer of Engagement for Apprenticeship Training.
An amount of maximum up to Rs. 3,000/- shall be reimbursed to the candidate towards expenses incurred for conducting tests/investigations during pre-engagement medical, on production of receipt for the same.
General Information/Instructions
IndianOil Corporation Limited proposes to engage Technician, Graduate and Trade Apprentice under Apprentices Act, 1961 at its Locations in States and UTs (Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand).
Reservation will be applicable as per the prescribed percentage for recruitment applicable to the States/UT.
For PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability) category, Government of India Guidelines shall apply.
The reservation for PwBD shall be applied on horizontal basis, across all categories, as per the Government guidelines.
PwBD are not eligible to apply for Discipline Codes 101-111 (Technician and Trade Apprentice - Technical).
Candidates are required to submit a Disability Certificate issued by competent authority as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017.
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities must be capable of performing the task assigned to them/take instructions using suitable aids and appliances.
SC/ST/OBC (NCL-Non Creamy Layer) candidates applying for Unreserved (UR) seats shall be considered subject to their fulfilling the standards applicable to candidates belonging to General category.
Candidates can apply for ONLY ONE DISCIPLINE CODE from the advertisement. Candidates applying for more than one discipline code will not be considered and their applications will be summarily rejected.
The candidature of the applicant would be provisional and subject to subsequent verification of certificates and testimonials.
In case it is detected at any stage that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and/or has furnished any incorrect/false information/certificate, his/her candidature will stand cancelled.
Engagement of selected candidates is subject to being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Corporation.
The decision of the Management will be final and binding on all candidates on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, cancellation of the selection process.
Applications which are incomplete or received in any other mode/form, or not fulfilling the eligibility criteria shall not be considered "Eligible".
Upon completion of the apprenticeship period, the Corporation shall have NO obligation to offer regular employment to such apprentices NOR can an Apprentice claim right for employment.
