Eligibility Criteria for IRCON Apprentice Recruitment 2026
Educational Qualification (as on 01.01.2026):
- Graduate Apprentices: Graduate or equivalent in relevant Engineering/Technology streams (Civil/Electrical/S&T)
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Diploma or equivalent in relevant Engineering/Technology streams (Civil/Electrical/S&T)
Important Points:
- Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination in 2026, 2025, 2024, or on or after 01.01.2023 (should not have completed more than 3 years after passing)
- Result awaited/supplementary/back paper candidates need not apply
- Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training in IRCON or any other organization need not apply
- Candidates with one year or more of training/job experience after completion of education are not eligible
Experience Required:
- Fresh graduates/diploma holders eligible
- No prior apprenticeship training should have been completed
- Maximum 3 years gap allowed after passing qualifying examination
Stipend for IRCON Apprentice Posts

Selection Process for IRCON Apprentice Recruitment 2026
The selection will be based on merit:
- No Interview: There will be no interviews for this recruitment
- Merit List: Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on merit list formed on the basis of marks secured in essential educational qualification
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will have to produce all original testimonials/certificates at the time of verification
- Medical Fitness: Selected candidates will have to produce a certificate of medical fitness before joining

General Instructions for IRCON Apprentice Recruitment 2026
- Candidates must register on www.mhrdnats.gov.in as "Student" and possess unique registration number before applying
- Only one application per candidate per location for a particular post is allowed
- Candidates should mention percentage without rounding off as per consolidated mark sheet
- For CGPA/OGPA conversion: Minimum 6 on 10-point scale will be considered as 60% (if university doesn't provide conversion)
- Candidates will have to make their own stay arrangements
- Incomplete online applications will be summarily rejected
- False declarations will render the candidate ineligible
- Both online application and hard copy submission are mandatory
- If seats in any trade/discipline remain vacant, they will be diverted to other trade/discipline
