Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications: For Interpreter: Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized University / Institute; For Library Assistant: Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from recognized University / Institute.
- Essential qualifications: For Interpreter: C Level - Indian Sign Language Course or Diploma in Indian Sign Language Interpretation, Minimum three years of Interpreting experience in an academic institute, RCI Registration, Proficiency test for Sign Language compulsory; For Library Assistant: Two years professional experience in a Library under Central / State Government/ autonomous or Statutory organization / PSU/ University or Recognized Research or Educational Institution.
- Desirable: For Library Assistant: Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University or Institute.
- Experience: For Interpreter: Minimum three years of Interpreting experience in an academic institute; For Library Assistant: Two years professional experience.
Salary/Stipend
- Interpreter: Level 6 of 7th CPC (Rs.35,400 -1,12,400)
- Library Assistant: Level 5 of 7th CPC (Rs.29,200-92,300)

Selection Process
- The Centre reserves the right to shortlist applications based on higher qualifications and/or career profile of the applicants.
- In case of large number of applicants, the scrutiny committee may apply higher benchmark than the minimum essential/desirable qualifications to shortlist the candidates for written test/interview.
- A candidate’s admission to the written test/Interview and subsequent process is strictly provisional.

- The applicant must ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria and other norms specified in the advertisement as on the crucial date, and that the information furnished is correct in all respects.
- Incomplete applications shall be summarily rejected.
- Canvassing in any form or bringing external influence shall be treated as disqualification.
- Persons already in service under Government / Semi-Government / PSUs / Autonomous Organizations should APPLY THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL.

- Essential qualifications/experience prescribed are the minimum and mere possession of them will not entitle an applicant to be called for written test/interview.
- Applicants selected for appointment are required to go through police verification, either before or after joining the Centre.
- The Centre reserves the right to Withdraw the advertisement, either partly or wholly, at any time without assigning any reason, fill or not to fill any or all of the posts advertised, increase or decrease the number of posts and make any addition, deletion, or modification in the terms and conditions given in this notification of recruitment.
- Applicant must produce original certificates and other documents at the time of document verification (if called for written test/ interview).
- Only Birth Certificate/ Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC)/Matriculation/SSC Marks sheet or certificate issued by the concerned education board will be considered as proof of date of birth.
- The Character of a person for direct recruitment to the service must be such as to render him/her suitable in all respects for appointment to the Govt. service.
How to Apply
- Interested applicants are to apply only on the prescribed application form enclosed as (Annexure–I) and send/ submit the application by post/by hand along with self-attested copies of educational qualification, experience, including caste certificate to the Director Indian Sign Language Research & Training Centre (ISLRTC) Module No. 403–406, 4th Floor, NSIC Business Park, Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi – 110020.
- The sealed envelope containing the application should be mandatorily superscribed as, “Application for the post of …………, Advertisement no. ……...and Sender’s Address …………, failing which the application will not be considered and summarily rejected.
- The application fee has to be paid through the given SBI e-Collect portal only and the link for which will be made available on the official website of the Institute, shortly.
- Applications once submitted shall not be allowed to be withdrawn, altered, or resubmitted under any circumstances.
