Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications: Graduation in Law acquired through regular mode from recognized University in India.
- Essential qualifications: Computer Knowledge is essential. Minimum 5 years of experience in handling legal cases with knowledge in Service Matters related to Govt. of India is essential.
- Desirable: Experience in handling cases in CAT/High Court/Supreme Court related to Service Rules of Govt. of India, Public procurement, Arbitration etc. is desirable.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in handling legal cases with knowledge in Service Matters related to Govt. of India is essential. Brief details and copies of judgements related to concerned cases, successfully defended, have to be enclosed along with the application. Retired Central Govt. employees in the rank of Under Secretary, having graduation in Law and with experience in Legal Section can also apply.
Salary/Stipend
- Rs. 50,000/- per month.
- Not Eligible for any other allowances, including TA/DA.
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)
- Maximum Age: Less than 63 years (as on 1st January 2026).

- After scrutiny of applications received, a personal interview will be conducted for suitable candidates, by a committee.
General Information/Instructions
- The position is temporary in nature, period of engagement is for a period of Eleven (11) months extendable for suitable tenures based on the performance review.
- Department reserves the right to fill up the position or cancel the advertisement without assigning any reason.
- The Consultant shall be eligible for 8 days paid Casual Leave and 30 days of unpaid Earned Leave. The unutilized leaves cannot be carried forward to next year. Remuneration will be proportionately reduced based on the EL taken in each month.
