(iii) with seven years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in level 9 of the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; or
(iv) with eight years' in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in level 8 of the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; or
(v) with nine years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in level 7 of the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department
The departmental Assistant Library and Information Officer in level-7 (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400/-) in the pay matrix with nine years' regular service rendered after appointment thereto in the grade possessing at least Bachelor Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognised University or Institute and successfully completed in-house training of two to four weeks in the field of Library and Library Science will also be considered along with outsiders

General Information/ Instructions
Note 1.- The departmental Assistant Library and Information Officer in level-7 (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400/-) in the pay matrix with nine years' regular service rendered after appointment thereto in the grade possessing at least Bachelor Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognised University or Institute and successfully completed in-house training of two to four weeks in the field of Library and Library Science will also be considered along with outsiders, and if the departmental candidate is selected for appointment to the post, it shall be treated as having been filled by promotion, otherwise, the post is to be filled by deputation (including short-term contract) for a prescribed period at the end of which the departmental officer will again be afforded the opportunity to be considered for appointment to the post.
Note 2.- The period of deputation (including short term contract) including the period of deputation (including short-term contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed four years.
Note 3.- The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short-term contract) shall not exceed fifty-six years' as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
The candidates who apply for the post will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently. Applications received without aforesaid documents or after prescribed date, shall be rejected.
