Eligibility Criteria

• Applications are invited from eligible candidates belonging to Unreserved Category to fill up one post of Bank’s Medical Consultant (BMC) on contract basis at RBI Agartala.
• Candidates should possess at least an MBBS degree from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India in the allopathic system of medicine.
• Candidates having a postgraduate degree in General Medicine are also eligible to apply.
• Applicants must have a minimum of two years’ experience practicing medicine in any hospital or clinic.
• Applicants should have their dispensary or place of residence within a radius of 3–5 km from the Bank’s office premises at Jackson Gate Building, Lenin Sarani, Agartala.

Application Fee

Salary/Stipend

• Remuneration is fixed at ₹ 1,000/- per hour for the entire period of the three-year contractual service, payable on a monthly basis.
• Out of the total monthly remuneration, ₹ 1,000/- per month will be treated as conveyance expenses.
• Mobile phone charges of ₹ 1,000/- per month will be reimbursed.
• If required to attend the Bank on any public holiday, compensation at ₹ 1,000/- per hour will be paid.
• The BMC will not be eligible for superannuation benefits such as pension, provident fund or gratuity, and will not be entitled to leave or other perquisites/facilities; income tax will be deducted at source as applicable.

Selection Process

• Selection will be made through an interview of eligible candidates; the Bank may raise minimum eligibility standards to limit the number of candidates called.
• Shortlisted applicant(s) after interview will be subjected to medical tests as per prescribed norms; the cost of these tests will be borne by the applicant.
• The selected candidate will be appointed subject to being found medically fit and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions (Annex-I) and Code of Conduct (Annex-II).
• The selected candidate must enter into an agreement with the Bank before engagement as Bank’s Medical Consultant on contract basis with fixed hourly remuneration.

• The application should be placed in a sealed cover superscribed “Application for the Post of Bank’s Medical Consultant (BMC) on Contract Basis”.
• The sealed application should reach The General Manager (Officer-in-Charge), Reserve Bank of India, 2nd Floor, Jackson Gate Building, Lenin Sarani, Agartala – 799001 on or before 05:45 PM of December 12, 2025.
• Attested copies of certificates regarding age, educational qualifications, experience, caste etc. should accompany the application form.
• Candidates working as Medical Officer for any institution should indicate details of their current engagement and working hours in the application.

Instructions

• The contract for engagement will be for a period of three years and will not be renewed after completion of the term.
• The remuneration will remain fixed throughout the contract period, with reference to actual duty hours performed, and will be all-inclusive.
• The Bank reserves the right to review the rate of remuneration from time to time and alter duty hours and location as per administrative and operational requirements, up to a maximum of 30 hours per week.
• Bank’s Medical Consultant will function as an independent medical service provider, not as an agent of the Bank, and must observe the Code of Conduct specified in Annex-II.
• The engagement is purely contractual and temporary; no claim for regular employment or for pay and perks of regular employees shall lie on this basis.
• The contract is terminable on three months’ notice by either side or three months’ remuneration in lieu; in case of gross misconduct, it may be terminated with 10 days’ notice.
