RRC/NR Sports Person (Various Games/Events) Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• Passed 10th or its equivalent examination
• Candidate possessing higher education qualification should also upload their 12th Pass/ Graduation certificate/Post Graduation Certificate
• Only those sportspersons who have acquired the sports achievement eligibility norms in the championship held on or after 01/04/2023 to date of notification and are active Players
• Represented the country in any of the category C Championships/events OR At least 3rd position in Federation cup Championships (Senior Category) OR Represented a state of equivalent Unit, except in Marathon and cross Country, with at least 8th position in senior national championship only
• All the championships mentioned above should have been conducted under the aegis of recognized International/National/State Sports Federation and also recognized by Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB)

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 25 Years
• No age relaxation (upper or lower) shall be permissible

How To Apply

• ONLINE Applications are invited from ELIGIBLE Indian Sports Person
• Separate Application is to be filled for separate discipline/game, if eligible, with separate examination fee as applicable for each application
• Click on APPLY ONLINE – LOGIN BOX will appear with two options i.e. Login for already Registered Candidates & for New Application
• Candidate Dashboard will appear
• Candidate may complete the Online application from Part I to Part IV with option to take print of the Payment slip and Application for future reference
• Click in the BOX given at the end of the notification undertaking by the candidate that I have read carefully the notification with instructions given above to be complied with during the recruitment process

Instructions

• Recruitments of sportspersons shall be dealt as per Railway Board’s letter no. 2010/E (Sports)/4 (1)/1 (Policy) dated 31.12.2010 read with modifications/amendments issued by the Railway Board from time to time
• In case any applicant has difficulty in filling their applications ONLINE, they are free to contact the help line numbers displayed on RRC website with notification
• Merely filling up online application on RRC website does not make the candidate being eligible for selection process
• All the recruitments against Open Advertisement quota shall be at the minimum of scale of pay in the Pay Matrix
• Railway Administration reserves the rights to recruit eligible candidates
• Candidate applying for more than one discipline/game or event shall submit separate application with separate examination fee along with all necessary documents for each discipline/game or event
• No request for change of Date & Venue of trials will be entertained
• No relaxation in Age, Education/Sports Norms, Standards shall be permissible
• No candidate should attempt impersonation or take the help of any impersonator at any stage of the selection process
• Any material suppression of facts or submitting of forged/false certificates/caste certificate by a candidate for securing eligibility and/or obtaining privileges, including fee exemption for appearing in the selection trial shall lead to rejection of his/her candidature
• Candidates who have been debarred for life from all RRB/RRC examinations or candidates who have been debarred for a specified period which is not yet completed need not apply
• Any subsequent changes in the terms and conditions of the Employment Notice as per extant rules will stand good
• Candidates selected through Sports quota will have to perform in his/her field of sports for a minimum period of 5 years
• RRC reserves the right to reject the candidature of any applicant at any stage of the process of recruitment, if any irregularity/deficiency is noticed in the application
• For any Legal Dispute, the Jurisdiction will be at New Delhi only
• In the event of any dispute about interpretation or any mistake, the English version will be treated as final
• Canvassing in any form, misbehavior or misconduct will lead to summary rejection and cancelling of candidature and no correspondence will be entertained in this matter
• Use of power enhancing drugs medicines/steroid/alcohol etc. Is strictly banned and candidates may be required to undergo medical test if needed be
