Eligibility Criteria

• For Project Associate-I (Project: Effects of extreme heat on maternal, placental and fetal physiology, lactation and newborn health in India): Master’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized university OR B.Tech. in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized university.
• Desirable for this post: prior experience in microscopy, molecular biology techniques and working with cell culture; well versed with Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets, formulas and data organization.
• For Project Associate-I (Project: Platform for discovery of novel therapeutic monoclonal antibodies against MDR and XDR Klebsiella pneumonia): Master’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized university.
• Desirable for this post: experience in molecular biology, literature analysis, data analysis and project implementation.

Salary/Stipend

• For Project Associate-I (Project: Effects of extreme heat on maternal, placental and fetal physiology, lactation and newborn health in India): i) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA per month for scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship or GATE) or a selection process through national level examinations conducted by Central Departments and their agencies and institutions. ii) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA per month for others who do not fall under (i).
• For Project Associate-I (Project: Platform for discovery of novel therapeutic monoclonal antibodies against MDR and XDR Klebsiella pneumonia): Rs. 25,000/- + HRA per month.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit for both Project Associate-I posts: 35 years.
• Age relaxations mentioned in the notification: – 5 years for SC/ST candidates. – 3 years for OBC candidates. – For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): UR – 10 years, OBC – 13 years, SC/ST – 15 years. – Up to 5 years for Central Government servants as per Central Government instructions. – Institute employees get age relaxation to the extent of service rendered as on closing date of advertisement. – For Ex-servicemen, relaxation up to the extent of service rendered in defence forces plus 3 years, subject to minimum 6 months attested service.

Selection Process

• Selection will be through written test/skill test/interview on the date mentioned against each position at THSTI, NCR Biotech Science Cluster, 3rd Milestone, Faridabad-Gurugram Expressway, Faridabad – 121001.
• Candidates must report at 9:00 am on the respective walk-in dates; candidates coming after the time slot mentioned will not be entertained.
• In case a large number of applications are received, screening will be done to limit the number of candidates to those possessing higher/relevant qualification and experience.
• These are short-term positions; extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbents and tenure of the project, and there is no claim for regularization of employment.
