Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Varies significantly by post. Examples include M.Pharm/ M.V.Sc (Pharmacology), M.V.Sc (Veterinarian), M.Sc Statistics/ Bio-Statistics, PG/ Degree in Homoeopathy with enrolment in CCH/ State Board, M.Sc Chemistry/ Biochemistry, PhD in relevant fields (Biotechnology/ Immunology/ Physics/ etc.), Retired MLT with 05+ years experience, Master's/ Bachelor's in relevant sciences for Project Associate, Matriculation/ ITI for MTS, etc.
- Essential Qualification: Specific degree + registration (where applicable, e.g., Veterinary Council/CCH) + experience for higher posts (e.g., 03 years for Research Associate, post-PhD experience for Principal Project Associate).
- Desirable Qualification: NET/ GPAT/ GATE/ RET qualified preferred for many JRF/ SRF posts; experience in relevant tools (HPLC/HPTLC, animal handling, SPSS/ Stata, molecular biology, etc.); knowledge of basic computer operations.
- Experience: Required for several posts (e.g., 2–8 years post-Masters/PhD, retired experience for MLT, animal experimentation in virology, etc.).
Salary/ Stipend
- Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 35,000–37,000 consolidated + HRA
- Senior Research Fellow: Rs. 42,000 consolidated + HRA
- Research Associate / Scientist C: Rs. 58,000–84,337 (with increments in some cases) + HRA
- Principal Project Associate: Rs. 67,000 consolidated + HRA
- Project Associate II: Rs. 33,000–42,000 + HRA (depending on NET/GATE)
- Support posts (MTS/Office Assistant/Pharmacist/Lab Technician): Rs. 16,000–24,000
- MLT: As per Ministry of Ayush guidelines for Consultants
Age Limit (as on Date of Interview)
- Most JRF/SRF posts: Not exceeding 35 years
- Research Associate / Scientist C: Not exceeding 40 years
- Principal Project Associate: Not exceeding 50 years
- MLT: Not exceeding 64 years
- Support posts (MTS/Office Assistant/etc.): Not exceeding 30–35 years
