Qualification

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Sciences/Computer Science & Engg./Information Technology or its equivalent or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
  • Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology in Electronics and Communication or equivalent from a recognized university or AICTE with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
  • Master’s Degree in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Earth Sciences or equivalent OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
  • Master’s degree in Science or Technology in Earth Sciences/ Chemical Sciences/ Hydrochemistry/Environmental Sciences/ Environmental Biotechnology or its equivalent. OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology in Chemical Technology/Chemical engineering from a recognized university or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized university or AICTE or its equivalent with at least first class (60%) marks in the qualifying degree level.
  • Master’s Degree in Geology / Applied Geology / Earth Sciences /Geological Sciences / Marine Geology or its equivalent or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Sciences/Computer Science & Engg./Information Technology or its equivalent or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
  • Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology in Electronics and Communication or equivalent from a recognized university or AICTE with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
  • Master’s Degree in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Earth Sciences or equivalent OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.

Desirable Qualification

  • M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering /Information Technology from a recognized University/Institute with at least first class(60% of marks) in the qualifying degree
  • Two years’ experience / knowledge in the development of Scientific / Web Applications using Java, Struts, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, Database: Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL and Linux internals etc. Python along with Django framework.
  • Minimum two years post qualification experience in operation/ maintenance/ management of satellite / radio (HF/VHF) wave communication OR Operation and data acquisition with scientific instrument for atmospheric/ meteorological research and Familiarity with inventory management/ ERP software
  • Two years of experience in the operation/ maintenance/ handling of different scientific instruments OR Two years of experience in atmospheric/meteorological/ Oceanographic data collection and analysis
  • Two years of relevant experience in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or S&T organizations, as well as scientific activities and services related to geochemistry/ hydrochemistry/isotope geo chemistry.
  • Experience in polar field expeditions and laboratory studies using ICP-MS for paleoclimatic studies.
  • Minimum two years post qualification experience in planning & execution of new construction projects and its subsequent maintenance. Knowledge of AutoCAD software.
  • Two years of experience in the field of petrology/ ore geology/ structural geology / isotopic studies or related fields.
  • Experience in operation/maintenance/handling of scientific analytical instruments like EPMA, IRMS etc.
  • Experience in participating in marine scientific expeditions, marine geological sample/ rock collection and analysis of geological parameters, data analysis and interpretation.
  • High-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Experience

General Information / Instructions

  • The date of walk-interview is 02.02.2026 (Monday) the cut-off date for all purposes including Age/Qualification/experience etc. Registration starts from 08.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. Candidates reporting after registration time will NOT be allowed to attend interview. If the interview is not completed on the stipulated day, the interview will be continued to the subsequent day. Period of engagement:
  • The post is on temporary contract basis under project mode. The assignment would be initially for a period of six months which may be curtailed/ extended depending on performance of candidate and requirement of the Office OR co-terminus with the project period, whichever is earlier.
  • The age limit shown against position is the normal age limit. The age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC (NCL) (if the post is reserved for the category), as per Government of India norms. Candidates have to produce a relevant certificate to avail such relaxation. Candidates claiming EWS category should produce latest EWS certificate (2025-2026) from the Competent Authority.
  • Candidates claiming OBC category should produce valid latest OBC (NCL) certificate (2025-2026) from the Competent Authority. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing any influence, political or otherwise will be treated as disqualification of candidature. No interim correspondence/inquiry will be entertained. Candidates working in Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous bodies must produce the requisite ‘No Objection Certificate’ or experience certificate from their employer at the time of interview.
  • Experience will be counted after completion of essential academic qualifications. An awarded doctorate degree will be counted as three years’ experience. In case a candidate has obtained the above degree while in service only his /her service period will be counted towards experience and he/she will not get any additional weightage in experience for acquiring Doctorate towards total period of experience.
  • CGPA grading is to be converted in percentage. (Conversion certificate should be produce at the time of verification of documents) The candidate claiming the subject equivalency has to produce supporting document to the claim from the concerned university. The selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India and outside India. No travelling allowance will be paid for attending the interview.
  • The candidates need to make their own stay arrangements. NCPOR will not be responsible for any accommodation arrangements. Director, NCPOR has the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage, without assigning any reason thereof or vary the number of posts to be filled under each category.
  • Number of vacancies advertised is tentative and the same may increase or decrease on the basis of the project requirement. Director, NCPOR reserves the right to consider a candidate for higher or lower post/grade on the basis of the assessment during the selection process irrespective of the post for which candidate has applied. Discrepancies found in the certificate or concealing of facts will attract the disqualification of application/termination/disqualification from future recruitments (as applicable). Non production of the original certificates at the time of interview will also make the candidate disqualified.
  • Candidates appearing for the walk-in-interview production of the original certificate at the time of interview is must. Candidate’s currently working in any other organization need to provide the proof of their current employment with a service/experience certificate from the employer.
  • Appointment letter will not be considered as proof of current employment. The position is purely temporary and on project mode and do not entitle the candidate for any claim for regular/permanent position at anytime.
  • The monthly emolument specified is approximate and may vary as per the guidelines issued by Competent Authority from time to time. All candidates are required to bring one set of self -attested copies of all certificate/testimonials, in support of date of birth, qualifications (from std X onwards), caste, experience certificates (indicating the exact period of services rendered viz starting and ending dates of each period and each employment), Relieving order or discharge certificate from the Present Employer, if any and other details etc., which have been reflected in the application (as per the prescribed format at Annexure-I), are required to be brought at the time of interview failing which the candidate will not be allowed to attend the interview. One recent passport size photograph should be pasted in the appropriate place in the format.
  • Candidate must be present for verification of documents with original clear photo ID document i.e. Aadhaar card, Passport, PAN card, Voter ID or Vehicle License (any one) alongwith the copy of the same. All candidates are required to bring the original documents related to educational qualifications, date of birth, Passport, work experience, caste certificate and identity etc. for verification which will be returned to you on the same day after verification.
  • If the certificates are in a language other than English or Hindi, attested translation should been enclosed. Note: Candidates applying for more than one post separate application need to be filled with Post Code and Project name.
