• Only women candidates are eligible to apply.
• The applicant must be a permanent resident of the ward/gram sabha where the vacant post is located.

1. Widow woman from a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family
2. Legally divorced or deserted woman from a BPL family
3. If neither is available, any other woman from a BPL family
4. If no BPL candidate is available: widow woman from an above-poverty-line family
5. Legally divorced or deserted woman from an above-poverty-line family
6. Any other woman from an above-poverty-line family

If no eligible candidate is found in any of the above categories within the same gram sabha, category-wise selection will be made from the concerned Nyay Panchayat.
