UPSSSC PET City Slip vs Admit Card: What Is the Difference?
The city slip is not an admit card. It tells you which district you must travel to. The admit card carries the exam centre address and entry instructions.
| Point | Exam city slip | Admit card |
|---|---|---|
| Main purpose | Advance notice of your exam district | Document required to enter the exam, as per exam instructions |
| Exam district | Shown | Shown |
| Full centre address | Generally not given | Given |
| Exam date and shift | May be shown | Check carefully |
| Valid for entry on its own | No | Required as per exam instructions |
Important Instructions Before Going to the Exam Centre
- Check the full address: Read the centre address on the admit card. Do not plan travel using only the district name.
- Book travel early: If your district is in another city, arrange bus or train tickets in advance.
- Carry a clear admit card printout: Download it as soon as the commission releases it.
- Bring valid photo ID: Carry the ID and documents listed on your admit card.
- Follow the rules on prohibited items: Mobile phones, electronic devices and jewellery are covered by the instructions on the admit card.
- Reach early: Plan to arrive well before the reporting time on your admit card.
