Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess First Class Master Degree in relevant fields from a recognized university/board to apply for NIT Agartala Research Personnel positions. Proven work experience in handling and operating Liquid and Gas Chromatograph with Mass Spectrometry and proficiency in interpreting and analyzing chromatograms is required.
2. Desirable Criteria
- Candidates with Ph.D will be given preference, provided that the application has desired experience in the field stated above.
- Preference will be given to applicants with desired experience.
- Candidates with publication in Scopus/SCI indexed journals in the related field will be given preference.
- Candidate with NET/GATE/Equivalent qualification will be preferred.
- Candidates having extensive experience in laboratory setting with inclination to field trials, sampling and travelling will be given preference.
Salary/Stipend
- Candidates fulfilling the minimum qualification having desired experience may be offered Research Fellow (Junior/Senior) position with Monthly Emolument (consolidated): INR 31,000/- Year 1&2 and INR 35,000/- Year 3 onwards, if applicable (Candidate with GATE qualification may be entitled to higher emoluments as per DST Office Memorandum dated 26 June 2023, subject to approval of funding agency).
- Candidates fulfilling the minimum qualification but lacking desired experience may be offered Project Assistant position with Monthly Emolument (consolidated): INR 18,000/- Year 1&2 and INR 21,000/- Year 3 onwards, if applicable.
- Candidates with having higher than the minimum qualification (such as Ph.D) and having desired experience may be offered Research Associate position with Monthly Emolument (consolidated): INR 45,000/- Year 1&2 and INR 50,000/- Year 3 onwards, if applicable.

Instructions
- The position is purely on temporary basis and will be governed by the Administrative rules, conditions imposed by Research & Consultancy Cell, NIT Agartala.
- No TA/DA is permissible for appearing in the interview and joining in case of selection.
- The Institute reserves the right to cancel the process at any point of time without assigning any reason.
- Appointment will be temporary in nature and continuation based on satisfactory annual performance appraisal. The temporary engagement can be terminated without assigning any reason.
- The position is co-terminus with the project duration (04 years).
- The candidate selected will have the option to register for the PhD program at the Department of Chemical Engineering, NIT Agartala (subject to meeting Ph.D rules 2018 eligibility).
- The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, documents and photographs submitted.
