Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualifications: As per National Medical Commission (NMC, erstwhile MCI) guidelines dated 30.06.2025
- Essential Qualification:
- MBBS degree from recognized institution
- MD/MS/DNB or other postgraduate medical qualification as per NMC norms for the respective post and department
- Valid State/NMC Medical Registration Certificate (updated)
- All candidates must have updated Medical Registration (NMC/State Medical Council) with all post MBBS/MD/MS qualifications
- Desirable:
- Research publications and proof of publications
- Relevant teaching and clinical experience as per position applied
- Completion certificate of ICMR/NMC conducted Bio-medical research examination
- NMC appeared Revised/Basic Medical Education Workshop completion certificate
- Experience: As per NMC guidelines for respective positions (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Senior Resident)
Salary/Stipend
- Professor: Rs. 1,23,100/- per month (Level 13 of 7th CPC) plus other applicable allowances
- Associate Professor: Rs. 78,800/- per month (Level 12 of 7th CPC) plus other applicable allowances
- Assistant Professor: Rs. 67,700/- per month (Level 11 of 7th CPC) plus other applicable allowances
- Senior Resident: Rs. 67,700/- per month (Level 11 of 7th CPC) plus other applicable allowances
- Consolidated remuneration as per ESIC Medical Administration HQRS Office Memorandum dated 13.04.2022 and 08.12.2022
- Other allowances applicable as amended from time to time by ESIC Headquarters or as per extant rules
- Retired employees/pensioners may draw total pay without deduction and continue to draw pension and dearness relief during contractual engagement
- Income tax and professional tax will be deducted at source as per prevailing rules
Age Limit
- Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 69 years
- Senior Resident (General Departments): Maximum 45 years
- Senior Resident (Specific Departments - Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine): Maximum 50 years
- Age Relaxation: As per prevailing norms of Government of India for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-servicemen categories
- Maximum tenure of engagement till attainment of 70 years of age subject to fulfillment of other rules and regulations

- Selection Criteria: Based on acquired academic credentials and performance in interview before the Selection Board
- Interview Process: Candidates will be called for interview after scrutiny of submitted documents

- Document Verification: All candidates must report at 09:00 AM on interview date for document verification

General Information/Instructions
- ESIC is a statutory body under Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India
- Recruitment is for contract basis for one year, extendable every year up to maximum 3 years subject to satisfactory performance or till joining of regular incumbent
- Applications can be submitted through Speed Post, by Hand, or by Email (email recommended for speedy delivery)
- Applications submitted after last date will not be entertained
- Only one application should be submitted per post in prescribed format; incomplete applications will be summarily rejected
- Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease as per actual requirement for teaching and patient care
- Vacancies include reservation for PwD and Ex-servicemen as per Government of India norms
- In case of non-availability of reserved category candidates, vacancy may be filled for less than 45 days as de-reserved seat
- EWS certificate should be as per DOPT OM dated 31.01.2019, based on FY 2024-25 and issued on or after 01.04.2025
- OBC (NCL) certificate should be as per DOPT OM dated 30.05.2014, based on FY 2024-25/2023-24/2022-23, issued by officer not below rank of Tehsildar on or after 01.04.2025
- Reservation as per Government of India guidelines; competent authority reserves right to amend reserved posts
- Candidates working in Government/Autonomous/Statutory institutions should preferably have NOC at interview time
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in interview or document submission
- Wrong declarations or false information will lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action
- Private practice of any kind strictly prohibited; simultaneous work in other hospitals/medical colleges not allowed
- No accommodation will be provided to selected candidates
- Teaching faculty required to mark attendance manually and on Aadhaar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS) daily

Contract Terms and Conditions
- Contract Duration: 1 year, extendable up to maximum 3 years based on satisfactory performance or till regular incumbent joins
- Leave Entitlement: 2.5 days paid leave per completed month on pro-rata basis; no advance leave, half leave, or leave encashment
- Security Deposit: Rs. 30,000/- non-interest bearing demand draft at time of joining (refundable after successful contract completion with no dues certificate)
- Termination/Resignation: Either side can terminate with one month prior notice; spot resignation requires one month salary deposit
- Service Benefits: No claim for PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Seniority, Promotion, TA/DA for conferences
- No Regularization: Contract appointment has no claim for service regularization or preference for regular appointment
- Absence Policy: Absence beyond 7 days without permission amounts to voluntary abandonment and automatic termination
- Agreement Required: Selected candidate must enter into agreement on Rs. 100/- non-judicial stamp paper (cost borne by candidate)
- Dean's Decision Final: In case of any ambiguity, Dean's decision will be final
