Meghalaya Public Service Commission (Meghalaya PSC) invites online applications for 14 posts of Sericulture Inspector, Reeling Foreman, and Manager under the Directorate of Sericulture & Weaving, Department of Textiles, Meghalaya. Candidates with a Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Botany or Zoology with a Post Graduate Diploma in Sericulture or a B.Sc. in Sericulture are eligible to apply. The posts carry a pay scale of Level 10 under the revised pay structure. Eligible candidates aged between 18 and 32 years can apply online through mpsc.meghalaya.gov.in on or before 23 January 2026, up to 5:00 PM.

Important Note on Eligibility
The degrees/certificates of candidates obtained from the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers (India) and the Aeronautical Society of India, by taking admission post 31.05.2013, will not be admissible
The eligibility of the candidates who has obtained degree/certificate from the Institution of Engineers (India), by taking admission post 31.05.2013, will be subject to the decision of the Government

Special Age Relaxation: As per provision laid down in Rule 23 of the Meghalaya Sericulture Subordinate Service Rules, 2022, the age may be relaxed for those Overaged stipendiaries who have undergone training sponsored by the Directorate of Sericulture & Weaving, Shillong. This is a one-time age relaxation and will be applied only for this recruitment cycle
Date of Birth Acceptance: The date of birth to be accepted by the Commission is as entered in the Matriculation/Secondary School Leaving Certificate or a Certificate recognized by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation. No other document relating to age like horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts from Municipal Corporation shall be accepted

Screening Test: MCQ pattern consisting of the following subjects:
General English - 60 Marks
General Knowledge & Current Affairs - 60 Marks
Sericulture (Domain Subject) - 180 Marks
Total Marks: 300
Personal Interview: Only those candidates who are declared to have passed the Preliminary/Main Written Examination shall be eligible to the Personal Interview
Only candidates who have produced all the required documents in original relating to their educational qualification, date of birth, caste, community and other certificates wherever required and prescribed by Rules will be deemed qualified to be called for Personal Interview
Candidates must appear for Preliminary/Main Examination/Personal Interview at his/her own expenses

General Information/Instructions
Applicants are advised to apply well in advance without waiting for the closing date
Admission to all stages of the recruitment process for which the candidates are admitted by the Commission will be purely Provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions
Applicants are advised to ensure their eligibility with regards to the educational qualification, age and other criteria as required in the post
If an applicant is found not fulfilling any of the eligibility conditions, at any stage of the recruitment process including the last stage i.e., "Recommendation", the candidature for the post shall be automatically cancelled by the Commission without notice
Applicants are required to indicate in the online application form that he/she belongs to ST/SC/OST/OSC or General category. Subsequent requests to change category shall not be entertained by the Commission
Change of examination centre will not be entertained; therefore candidates are advised to opt their examination centre judiciously
Sports Person: Only those who have represented the State at the International, National and Regional level in disciplines listed in the Olympics, is considered a 'Sports Person'
PH candidates: PH stands for Physically Handicapped person and must possess a Disability certificate issued by competent Authority
Candidates are requested to check and update their profile before applying
There will be no "Ineligibility List". All candidates will be called for the Screening Test/Written Examination irrespective of whether they are qualified or not. However, if the candidate is not found qualified at any stage of the recruitment process, his/her candidature shall be rejected/cancelled forthwith
