RLBCAU Various Positions Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must be a citizen of India.
• Applicants must apply separately for each Position/Post with applicable form fee, using the prescribed online application form on the University website.
• Qualifications for each post (Registrar, Dean, Assistant Registrar, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor) are specified under “Qualifications” and “Teaching Positions” sections, including required degrees, marks, experience and, where applicable, veterinary registration.
• For Assistant Professor (non-Veterinary disciplines): Master’s degree in relevant discipline with at least 60% marks or equivalent, with evidence of NET (ICAR-ASRB/UGC-CSIR), or Doctorate degree in relevant subject with two published research papers (NAAS rating above 4.0).
• For Assistant Professor (Veterinary disciplines): Recognized veterinary qualification under Indian Veterinary Council Act 1984, B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks, Master’s degree in relevant Veterinary discipline with at least 60% marks and NET, or Doctorate degree with two NAAS-rated research papers.
• Associate Professor (non-Veterinary): Doctoral degree in relevant subject including relevant basic sciences, eight years’ experience in relevant subject in specified pay bands, and contributions to research / teaching / extension evidenced by publications and innovations.
• Associate Professor (Veterinary): Recognized veterinary qualification, B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks, Master’s in relevant Veterinary discipline with at least 55% marks, and other qualifications similar to non-veterinary disciplines (doctorate, experience, publications).
• Registrar: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent; at least 15 years of teaching or administrative experience in specified cadres, or 15 years of administrative experience with eight years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent.
• Dean, College of Veterinary & Animal Science: Recognized veterinary qualification; B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks; Master’s and Doctorate degrees in relevant Veterinary disciplines; minimum 15 years of teaching/research experience with at least 5 years as Professor or equivalent; outstanding research contributions.
• Assistant Registrar: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and good academic record; experience as per desirable condition for service in administration/establishment in specified grades is preferred.

Salary/Stipend

• Statutory Positions (Registrar, Dean): Level 14 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
• Associate Professor: Level 13A as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
• Assistant Professor: Level 10A as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
• Assistant Registrar (Non-Teaching): Level 10 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
• Higher initial pay may be considered for exceptionally qualified and deserving candidates if recommended by the Selection Committee.

Age Limit 

• Registrar: Preferably below 57 years as on last date of advertisement; tenure of 5 years or till attaining age of 62 years, whichever is earlier.
• Dean, College of Veterinary & Animal Science: Preferably below 57 years as on last date of advertisement; tenure of 5 years or till attaining age of superannuation (65 years), whichever is earlier.
• Assistant Registrar: Preferably below 40 years as on last date of advertisement.
• Associate Professor (all disciplines): Preferably below 47 years as on last date of advertisement.
• Assistant Professor (all disciplines): Preferably below 40 years as on last date of advertisement (age may be relaxed as per Section 10 of Recruitment Rules for Teaching Employees).
• Relaxation of age and experience is available for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other categories as per UGC/Government of India norms and Section 10 of Recruitment Rules, with possible additional relaxation for women candidates and employees of specified institutions.

Application Fee

• Application fee is non-refundable and must be paid through online mode only.
• General and other candidates: Rs. 1000/- (per application form).
• SC / ST / PwBD candidates: Rs. 500/-.
• Women candidates are exempted from payment of prescribed fee.
• No other means of payment (IPO/money order/DD etc.) will be accepted.

Selection Process

• Direct recruitment to Statutory, Teaching and Non-Teaching posts will be on the basis of merit through all India advertisement and selection by duly constituted Selection Committees.
• Screening of applications will be done using post-wise Score-Card Guidelines (Dean, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor) and/or additional criteria decided by the Screening Committee.
• The ratio of candidates called for interview will generally not exceed 1:20 and not be less than 1:3 for each post, subject to candidates securing at least 60% marks in screening.
• Weightage of score card and interview will be in the ratio of 70:30 for Associate Professor and above, and 80:20 for Assistant Professor.
• The University may adopt short-listing criteria such as higher qualifications, experience or desirable qualifications to restrict the number of candidates called for interview.

General Information/Instructions

• Applicants must apply online through the University website and additionally send hard copies (signed, with all enclosures already uploaded) by Indian postal service to the Registrar within the stipulated time.
• The envelope of the hard copy must clearly mention “Application for the post ……………….” and “Post Code………”; applications received in any other manner will be rejected.
• Candidates must pay the non-refundable application fee online and ensure correct contact details (phone number and email) for all communications.
• In-service applicants and candidates on deputation/Foreign Service must submit applications through proper channel and upload/send No Objection Certificate in the prescribed format within the stipulated time.
• The crucial date for determining age limit for each Position/Post is the last date of advertisement.
• The University reserves the right to withdraw, increase or decrease advertised posts; to fix screening criteria; to relax age/qualifications/experience; and to draw reserve panels for future vacancies.
• Any addendum / corrigendum / updates regarding the recruitment will be posted only on the University website; no separate postal communication will be issued.
• Reservations and relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS candidates will be as per Government of India/UGC rules, subject to submission of valid certificates in prescribed formats and dates.

• The subject on the envelope should read “Application for the post ……………….” and “Post Code………” failing which the application form will be rejected.

• Applications complete in all respects must be submitted online by 21.02.2026 (5.00 PM) and hard copies must reach the University by 28.02.2026 (5.00 PM); late applications will not be entertained.
