Essential Qualifications
- Educational Degree: BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- Total Post-Qualification Experience: Minimum 12 years
- Experience at Higher Grade: Either:
- Minimum 2 years working/worked in analogous Grade IDA-E5 (Rs. 80,000-2,20,000) or equivalent CDA pay scale, OR
- Grade IDA-E4 (Rs. 70,000-2,00,000) or equivalent CDA pay scale with minimum 4 years in E4 grade or equivalent CDA
- Essential Rail Infrastructure Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification work experience in planning and execution of Rail Infrastructure Projects in PSU
- Specific Expertise Required: Experience in planning and execution of rail infrastructure projects including:
- Track linking
- Construction of depots
- Station building
- Bridge construction
- Tendering works

Key Responsibilities
- Planning and execution of rail infrastructure projects
- Overseeing civil engineering works for Mumbai Urban Transport Project
- Managing construction of track linking, depots, station buildings, bridges
- Coordinating tendering and procurement works
- Supervising engineering teams and project deliverables
- Ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations
- Reporting to General Manager on project progress
- Any other duties as assigned by senior management
Employment Terms
- Contract Duration: Initially 2 years, extendable at sole discretion of MRVC
- Surety Bond: Rs. 2 Lac required on Rs. 500 stamp paper to serve the company for 2 years
- Joining Period: Maximum 45 days after issuance of appointment offer
- Pay Protection: Only for candidates from Government/Semi-Government/PSU organizations (including contract)
- Medical Examination: Mandatory before joining; candidate must be medically fit
- Permanent Absorption: This position will NOT lead to permanent absorption in MRVC regular service

- Step 4: Interview by nominated committee
- Step 5: Selection based on merit - interview performance (minimum 60% required), qualification, and post-qualification experience
- Step 6: Decision of nominated committee is final and binding
- Step 7: Panel of standby candidates maintained for future requirements

Important Instructions

- MRVC reserves right to cancel/restrict/enlarge the contract engagement without prior notice

- Government/PSU employees if selected must obtain proper relief from parent organization before joining
- Selected candidate can be called for emergencies and additional duties as demanded
- Involvement in undesirable activities such as embezzlement, unlawful activities, unauthorized absence, insubordination will result in immediate termination
Termination of Contract
- Contract terminates on completion of contract period or any extended period
- Either party can terminate with one month notice or payment in lieu
- Breach of any contract terms results in termination
- Contract appointee must return all MRVC property and confidential documents upon termination
- Contract appointee responsible for acts and omissions during service
- MRVC can terminate if appointee found unsuitable (one month notice or payment in lieu)
