Eligibility Criteria
1. Project Attender / Project Support Staff
- Essential Qualification: PUC (Pre-University Course) Pass
- Essential Experience: At least 1 year of experience in supporting research or hospital-based activities, including cleaning, logistical assistance, or field support
- Language Requirement: Proficiency in Kannada (read, write, communicate effectively); basic knowledge of spoken English preferred
- Maximum Age Limit: 25 years
- Gender Restriction: Female candidates only (essential for project requirements involving pregnant women in community settings)
2. Project Coordinator
- Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Essential Experience: Minimum 1 year of research experience in community-based studies involving women and project-related administrative & coordination work
- Language Requirement: Fluency in spoken English; knowledge of South Indian languages (Kannada, Hindi) preferred
- Maximum Age Limit: 35 years
Job Description & Responsibilities
Project Attender / Project Support Staff
- Support early-morning project activities involving pregnant women in community and institutional settings
- Cleaning and preparation of assessment and data collection areas
- Assist with logistical arrangements during biological sample collection
- Safely transfer collected biological samples from collection points (homes or NCWB) to designated laboratory following project protocols
- Ensure safe and hygienic handling of project materials and equipment
- Facilitate smooth coordination during participant visits
- Carry out any other project-related support work as assigned by the research team
Project Coordinator
- Coordinate study activities with project team (scheduling appointments with participants, arranging transportation, etc.)
- Handle project administrative work (sending emails/letters, maintaining project accounts on Sfacts and Excel)
- Manage inventory related to project materials
- Prepare brief reports and perform data entry
- Manage project documentation and record-keeping
- Liaise with participants and research team for smooth implementation
Working Hours & Location
- Working Hours (Attender): 8 hours per day (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM) with flexibility for extended hours and occasional weekend duties
- Work Location: NIMHANS Centre for Well-Being, BTM Layout, Bengaluru
- Project Duration: 5 years (Wellcome Trust funded)

Selection Process
- Walk-in Registration: Candidates must register 30 minutes before written test commencement.
- Written Examination: OMR-based / objective type written test to assess basic knowledge and aptitude.
- Minimum Qualifying Score: Candidates must score minimum 50% in written exam to qualify for skill test/interview.
- Skill Test/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for skill assessment and interview.
- Merit-Based Selection: Final selection based on overall performance.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the selection process.
How to Appear for Walk-in
- Prepare all original documents and certificates.
- Carry self-attested photocopies of all relevant certificates and documents.
- Bring 2–3 recent passport-size photographs.
- Prepare a typed resume with all relevant details.
- Bring original experience certificates, qualification certificates, etc.
- Arrive at NBRC Building, 4th Floor, NIMHANS by 10:00 AM on 20-02-2026.
- Register your name with the examination committee 30 minutes before the test starts.
- Carry valid government-issued ID proof (Aadhar, Voter ID, Passport).
- Candidates currently working in NIMHANS projects must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Principal Investigator.
Important Instructions
- This is strictly a walk-in-cum-written test; candidates must appear in person.
- No application fee is required.
- Registration must be completed 30 minutes before the test (by 10:00 AM).
- Only female candidates are eligible for the Project Attender position to ensure comfort and privacy of pregnant women participants.
- Candidates scoring below 50% in the written test will not be called for interview.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in.
- NIMHANS project staff must produce NOC from their current PI.
- Possession of essential qualifications alone does not guarantee selection.
- NIMHANS reserves the right to select suitable candidates or cancel the recruitment process.
