Eligibility Criteria

  • A medical Qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in section 13(3) of the Act.)
  • A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
  • Three years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D. /M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
  • A medical Qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in section 13(3) of the Act.).
  • A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
  • D.M. in the respective discipline/subject for medical super specialties and M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject for surgical super specialties (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
  • One-year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M./M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognized degree of D.M/M.Ch. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
  • Postgraduate qualification e.g. Master degree in the discipline/allied subject.
  • A Doctorate degree of a recognized University in concerned discipline.
  • Three years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the Doctorate degree.
  • M.Sc. (Medical Anatomy) with PhD Medical Anatomy.
  • M.Sc. (Medical Biochemistry) with PhD Medical Biochemistry.
  • M.Sc. (Medical Physiology) with PhD Medical Physiology.
  • M.Sc. (Medical Pharmacology) with PhD Medical Pharmacology
  • A recognized Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree qualification included in part-I of the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948).
  • A recognized Dental qualification obtained upto 01.11.1972 under Part-II of the Schedule to the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948).
  • A recognized Dental qualification granted by authority or institution outside India only when granted to a citizen of India upto 13.08.2009 under Part-III of the Schedule to the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948).
  • Any person who is citizen of India possessing foreign qualification and has appeared and passed the Screening Test Examination as per Screening Test Regulation 2009 w.e.f.13.08.2009.
  • A post-graduate degree in Dental Surgery from a recognized University or Institution.
  • Should be registered with any State Dental Council or Tribunal in India.
  • 3 years' teaching experience in the specialty as Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Senior Resident or Lecturer after requisite post Graduate qualification from a recognized teaching institution.

Salary/Stipend

  • Level 12 of the Pay Matrix as given in the MoH&FW (INI-I-Section), GoI Letter No.V- 16020/28/2017-INI-I (Pt.), dated 23rd August, 2018 i.e., Minimum Pay of Rs.1,01,500/- (Plus NPA for medically qualified candidates only) with provision to move to Level 13 of the Pay Matrix after three years.

Age Limit

  • Not exceeding 50 (Fifty) years as on cut-off date.

  • Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) Plus Applicable GST.
  • For EWS/ OBC/ Unreserved candidates, the Application Fee is Rs.1000/- plus applicable GST.

Selection Process

  • Based on the application, the Screening Committee may short- list candidates for interview. If required there may be Screening test to shortlist candidates for interviews in case large number of candidates apply for a post or posts.
  • Candidates called for interview will have to produce all relevant original documents in proof of details furnished in their application at the time of interview.
  • They may also be asked to submit an affidavit/declaration as decided by the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar at time of Interview.
  • The methodology of Selection will be decided by the Standing Selection Committee as deemed fit besides any other matter relating to the selection process.

General Information/Instructions

  • The above vacancies are provisional and subject to variation. The Competent Authority, AIIMS Bhubaneswar reserves the right to alter the vacancies including reserved vacancies as per the Govt. of India Rules/ Circulars and requirements or otherwise.
  • Relaxation of One-year Teaching/Research experience for SC/ST candidates in Faculty selection will be given as per Rules/Guidelines issued by DoPT/ Govt of India.
  • Qualifications and experiences as prescribed may be relaxed in exceptional cases at the discretion of the Standing Selection Committee with prior approval of the Competent Authority.
  • 4% of the total vacancies are horizontally reserved for PwBD candidates as per the RPwD Act 2016 and as per the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment's Notification No. 16-15/2010-DD.III dated 29th July, 2013 as amended from time to time as applicable. The physical requirements for the posts involve performing tasks by S (Sitting), ST (Standing), W (Walking), MF (Manipulation by Fingers), and RW (Reading & Writing). All the instructions of Govt. of India as applicable in this regard will be followed.
  • Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) shall be applicable as per Govt. of India, Office Memorandum No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) DoPT dated 19th January, 2019 and 31st January, 2019. EWS candidate must ensure that they have a valid EWS certificate, issued during the current financial year. EWSs Candidates will attach certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the form prescribed as per Annexure - A. In case suitable Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) candidates are not found, these posts will not be carried forward/or considered as backlog vacancy, hence Unreserved (UR) candidates may also be allowed provisionally to apply against EWSs posts advertised through above referred advertisement who may be considered incase suitable EWSs candidate are not found to fill up these posts reserved for EWSs.
  • Reservation will be as per Government of India Policy.
  • The cut-off date to determine the maximum age limit, essential qualification & experiences will be the last date of submission of online application.
  • The period of experience wherever prescribed shall be counted after obtaining the prescribed qualification.
  • Upper age limit shall be determined as on last date of submission of online applications.
  • No age relaxation would be available to SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates applying for unreserved vacancies.
  • Age relaxation permissible to various categories is as under: SC/ST 05 Years, OBC 03 Years, PwBD 10 Years, Government Servant (As per DoPT instruction) 05 Years
  • Age relaxation to other categories of the candidates will also be applicable as per the DoPT instructions.
  • Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD will be as per Government of India Policy.
  • Candidates applying against any of the reserved category posts, viz. SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS will be considered on production of valid Caste/ PwBD/ EWS Certificate issued by the Appropriate/Competent Authority on the prescribed format. Community should be clearly and legibly mentioned in the Certificate.
  • Applicants applying for the posts reserved for OBC must obtain certificate of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) in the prescribed format issued by Competent Authority. The certificate should be of the Current Financial Year and in accordance with instructions issued by the Government of India in this respect from time to time. Applicants should ascertain that they belong to the reserved categories (caste) enlisted in the Central List for the Other Backward Classes. OBC candidate(s) should not belong to Creamy Layer and their sub-caste should match with the entries in Central List of OBC, failing which their candidatures will not be considered under any of the applied reserved category post(s).
  • Reservation for candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) shall be applicable in accordance with the Government of India Office Memoranda No. 36039/1/2019-Estt. (Res) dated 19th January 2019 and 31st January 2019, issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). Candidates claiming reservation under the EWS category must possess a valid EWS certificate, issued during the current financial year. The certificate must be issued by the Competent Authority in the format prescribed by the Government of India. In the event that suitable EWS candidates are not available, the posts reserved for the EWS category shall neither be carried forward nor treated as backlog vacancies. Accordingly, Unreserved (UR) candidates are provisionally allowed to apply for these posts reserved for EWS and they may be considered for selection in the absence of suitable EWS candidates.
  • 4% of the total vacancies are horizontally reserved for PwBD candidates as per the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment's Notification No. 16-15/2010-DD.III dated 29th July, 2013 as amended from time to time as applicable. Out of the aforementioned 18 posts, 1 post has been earmarked for PwBD candidate. The vacancies only in the departments of Dermatology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Hospital Administration, Microbiology, Neurology, Paediatrics, Pathology and Radio diagnosis have been identified suitable for applicable category of PwBD candidates as mentioned at para 4 above.
  • Only such persons would be eligible for reservation under PwBD quota in service/posts who suffer from not less than 40% of physical disability. Person who wants to avail the benefit of reservation has to submit a Disability Certificate as issued by a Competent Authority in prescribed format. However, the candidature of PwBD applicant is subject to evaluation by a Medical Board duly constituted by the Executive Director, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar. This Medical Board will evaluate suitability of candidates for the post he/she is being considered for. All the instructions of Govt. of India as amended and as applicable in this matter will be followed if the same is not consistent in this connection.
  • The applicants who are already in Government service (including AIIMS Bhubaneswar Employees) shall have to produce No Objection Certificate from their present employer at the time of Interview or as per the instructions issued from time to time. However, they have to take prior permission from their employer while applying for the post. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the interview without NOC from his employer.
  • All the posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar status as admissible under the rules.
  • The applicants applying in response to this advertisement should satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for the post applied for. They must be fulfilling Eligibility Criteria as on the cut-off date of online applications failing which their application will be rejected. They must possess the educational qualification and experiences as recognized by the Govt. of India. Their candidature will be cancelled at any stage if it is found that their educational qualification or experiences is not recognized by the Govt. of India.
