Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications

• Medical Officer (14 Posts): MBBS Degree awarded by a University or Institution recognized by the UGC for the purpose of its grants. The courses must have been approved by the Medical Council of India/NMC. Should have registered in Tamil Nadu Medical Council.
• Staff Nurse (10 Posts): Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (DGNM) or B.Sc., Nursing from the Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
• MPHW/Multi-Purpose Health Worker (Health Inspector-Grade-II) - Male (20 Posts):
  • Must have passed plus two with Biology or Botany and Zoology
  • Must have passed Tamil language as a subject in SSLC level
  • Must possess two years for Multipurpose Health worker (male) / Health Inspector / Sanitary Inspector course training offered by recognized private institution / Trust / Universities / Deemed Universities including Gandhigram Rural Institute Training course certificate granted by the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine
• Support Staff (40 Posts): Should have studied minimum 8th Standard. Must be able to read and write.

Essential Qualifications

• For Medical Officer: Valid MBBS degree with Tamil Nadu Medical Council registration is mandatory
• For Staff Nurse: DGNM or B.Sc. Nursing with Indian Nursing Council recognition required
• For MPHW/Health Inspector: Plus Two with Biology subjects and 2-year MPHW training certificate from recognized institutions
• For Support Staff: Minimum 8th standard education with reading and writing ability
• Tamil language proficiency required for applicable posts

Desirable

• Work experience in COVID-19 pandemic activities (Certificate required)
• Working experience in any Healthcare Institution (Certificate required)
• Character and conduct certificates from competent authorities
• For foreign MBBS graduates: Foreign Medical Graduate Examination mark sheet issued by National Board of Examinations (NBE)

Experience

• COVID-19 pandemic work experience preferred (Certificate to be enclosed if applicable)
• Healthcare institution working experience considered as desirable
• Experience certificates must be submitted from appropriate authority as per Government Orders

Salary/Stipend

• Medical Officer: Rs. 60,000/- per month (Consolidated)
• Staff Nurse: Rs. 18,000/- per month (Consolidated)
• MPHW/Multi-Purpose Health Worker (Health Inspector-Grade-II) - Male: Rs. 14,000/- per month (Consolidated)
• Support Staff: Rs. 8,500/- per month (Consolidated)
• All salaries are consolidated amounts paid on a monthly basis
• Payment will be made during the contractual period

Age Limit

• Medical Officer: Below 40 Years
• Staff Nurse: Below 50 Years
• MPHW/Multi-Purpose Health Worker (Health Inspector-Grade-II) - Male: Below 35 Years
• Support Staff: Below 45 Years
• Age will be calculated as per the norms specified by the department

Selection Process

• Candidates will be selected based on the scoring criteria described in the Government Orders for selection of Human Resource for Urban Health and Wellness Centres
• Screening will be given based on required documents submitted with the application
• Selection criteria will be as per Government Orders
• Document verification will be conducted for shortlisted candidates
• Selected candidates need to enter into an agreement with Chennai City Urban Health Mission

General Information/Instructions

• Place of work will be in Greater Chennai Corporation limits
• Contract Period is for 11 months only and it is purely on temporary basis
• The candidate shall not claim any rights for permanency in the contractual job
• The employer is Chennai City Urban Health Mission
• The Chennai City Urban Health Mission Administration reserves the right not to specify any reason for such termination
