Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: M.B.B.S.
• The candidate possessing medical qualifications must be registered with Maharashtra Medical Council with valid certificate.

Salary/ Stipend

• Rs. 6600 + Rs.3300/-+ DA as per rule + 525 (book expenses) + Rs.27000/- Stipend as per rule

Age Limit (as on 01-02-2026)

• 33 years (Backward Class Candidates 38 years)

• The numbers of posts mentioned are not fixed but variable. Reservation for Backward Class will be considered.
• Blank application forms will be available from 21.01.2026 To 29.01.2026 (Except Saturday & Sunday) on all working days between 10:30 am to 01:30 pm and 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm in the office of the Executive Health Officer, Public Heath Department, 3rd Floor, F/South Ward Building, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, Parel Mumbai-400012
• The application forms duly filled in & signed be submitted in the office of the Executive Health Officer, Public Heath Department, 3rd Floor , Room No.50, F/South Ward Building, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, Parel Mumbai-400012 from 21.01.2026 To 29.01.2026 (Except Saturday & Sunday) between 10:30 am to 01:30 pm and 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm on all working days.
• The application forms sent by post will not be considered.
• Candidates have to give only one preference and one application only for one discipline. It should be clearly stated whether the application is for Jr. House Officer's post. Backward Class Candidates have to submit Attested copy of Caste Certificate, Caste Validity and Non Creamy Layer certificate (wherever applicable) along with the application.
• Application received late will not be considered.
• All particulars in the application forms must be written carefully and legibly. Incomplete or wrongly filled applications will not be accepted.
• In case any candidates is found to have supplied false information / certificate or withheld/cancel any information in his/her application form, he/she shall not be considered for appointment to the post applied for and if appointed, the appointment may be terminated.
• Blacklisted candidates will not be considered.
• List of selected candidates will be displayed on "3 rd FLOOR" of Executive Health Officer, Public Heath Department, 3rd Floor , Room No.50, F/South Ward Building, On 30.01.2026 at 05:00 pm.
• Schedule for Interviews for the post of Jr. HOUSE OFFICERS: On 30.01.2026 at 10:30 am onwards
• Candidates should bring original certificates at the time of Interview for verification of documents
• Venue of Interviews: Room No. 50, 3rd Floor, F/South Ward Building, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, Parel Mumbai-400012.
• No separate call/message/email will be sent for Interviews
• The selection /appointment of the candidates for the post of Jr. House officers can be changed on availability.
• No waiting list will be prepared.
• Selected candidates should report for duty Immeidiately, failing which he/she may be blacklisted for 3 years.
• If the candidate resigns with due notice of one month and is relieved by the Medical Officer, it is permissible.
• Selected candidate should pay Rs.10,000/- as security Deposit by D.D/Pay Order drawn in favor of "Brihanmumbal Municipal Corporation" The deposit is refundable on completion of the post, subject to recovery of dues, if any, against him. The deposit will be forfeited if the candidate leaves the post before completing the tenure.
• All the applicants are informed that though the tenure of the Jr.House Officers post advertised is for the period ending 31.07.2026.
