Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification & Experience (Finance Officer – Post Code 01) :
- Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
- Total experience: 15 years.
- Out of 15 years, at least 5 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post in GP ₹7600 (Level 12) or above in Government / Government-aided institutions / PSU.
- Age Limit :
- Not more than 56 years as on the closing date of online application (17.02.2026).
- Age relaxation: as per Government of India rules; however, relaxation with respect to category is not applicable when applying against UR post.
- PwBD Criteria :
- Person with benchmark disability (PwBD) means person with not less than 40% of specified disability.
- Disability certificate must be issued by a duly constituted Medical Board as per Persons with Disabilities Act/Rules.
- Experience Cut-off:
- Eligibility, including period of experience, is reckoned as on 17.02.2026 (closing date) .
- Reserved Categories / EWS / OBC Notes :
- Candidates must clearly mention SC/ST/OBC/EWS status in application (even when applying for UR) and upload proof; otherwise they will be treated as UR.
- EWS reservation: only for families with gross annual income below ₹8 lakh and not owning specified assets; Income & Asset Certificate from competent authority mandatory as on closing date.
- OBC candidates must belong to non-creamy layer as per DoPT OMs and furnish OBC-NCL certificate and undertaking in prescribed format (Annexure-I).
Job Profile
- Overall in-charge of Finance and Accounts section of the Institute .
- Responsible for management of funds received by NISER and payments to be made by the Institute .
- Prepare, in consultation with Director, NISER, the annual budget of the Institute for submission to the Board of Governors .
- Perform any other duties assigned by the competent authority from time to time .
Selection Process
- Mode of Selection: Direct Recruitment .
- Selection Procedure: Personal Interview only (no written test mentioned) .
- Personal interview will be conducted at NISER campus, Jatni, Khurda, Odisha .
- Institute may fix higher criteria and restrict number of candidates to be called for interview; mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility does not guarantee call for interview .
- Decision of Selection Committee/Competent Authority on shortlisting, selection and waiting list is final and binding .
Application Fee
- Application fee: ₹500/- (Rupees five hundred only) per post, payable online during filling of application form .
- Fee Exempted Categories: SC, ST, PwBD, Women and Ex-servicemen candidates .
- Application without required fee (for non-exempt categories) will be treated as incomplete and rejected; fee once paid is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted for other recruitments .

General Instructions
- Candidates must read detailed advertisement and ensure they meet all eligibility criteria; hiding or submitting false information leads to disqualification and cancellation at any stage .
- Government/Semi-Government/PSU employees must apply through proper channel or submit NOC along with online application .
- Institute may not fill the post and may modify/alter/cancel recruitment process without notice .
