Eligibility Criteria
- Principal: Trained M.A./M.Sc. (Hindi/English/Science/Maths/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Computer Science) from any recognized University; B.Ed with minimum 4 years teaching experience at Classes 9–12; or M.Ed with a recognized PG degree; or trained Science Diploma holder with 15–20 years of commendable service. Candidate must not be below 30 years of age.
- PGT Hindi: M.A. in Hindi with Sanskrit from any recognized University, or Shastri from Government Sanskrit College, Varanasi / Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi. Must be trained.
- PGT English: Post-graduation (Master’s Degree) in English from any recognized State/Central University; or B.El.Ed Diploma; or B.Ed with Education Degree/Diploma. Must be trained. Preference to Education Graduates.
- PGT Maths: M.A./M.Sc. in Maths or B.Sc. (Hons) with Maths; or B.Ed with three-year course with Maths. Must be trained.
- PGT Life Science: M.Sc. in Botany or Zoology; or M.Sc. in Agriculture with Botany/Zoology; or Post-Graduation in Life Sciences from a recognized University as per Education Department, UP. Must be trained.

- Full-Time Teacher – Maths: Post-Graduation from a recognized University; and B.Ed/High Primary level training.

Salary/Stipend
- Principal: Rs. 30,000/- per month

Age Limit
- Principal: Minimum age 30 years, Maximum age 45 years; with at least 4 years teaching experience in Classes 9–12.
- All Other Posts: Minimum age 25 years, Maximum age 45 years (as on 01 April 2025).
- Service in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas: Maximum age up to 60 years.
- Age will be calculated as on 01 April 2025 based on High School / Class 8 Certificate.
- Age relaxation and reservation will be applicable as per State Government norms (OBC / SC / ST / EWS as applicable).
- Candidates must submit proof of reservation category along with the application; failure to do so will result in denial of reservation benefits.

Selection Process
- Recruitment of teaching staff will be compiled at district level post-wise / subject-wise / category-wise; applications will be invited accordingly.
- Separate merit lists will be prepared post-wise / subject-wise / category-wise for selection.
- Merit weightage (Quality Marks) will be calculated as follows:
- High School: Percentage of marks obtained × 10/100
- Intermediate: Percentage of marks obtained × 10/100
- Graduation: Percentage of marks obtained × 20/100
- Post-Graduation: Percentage of marks obtained × 20/100
- Training (B.Ed/M.Ed etc.): Percentage of marks in theory & practical × 30/100
- If two or more candidates have equal merit points, the older candidate (higher age) will be placed higher in the merit list.
- If merit and age are both equal, the candidate whose name appears earlier in English alphabetical order will be ranked higher.
- Selection for Head Cook, Assistant Cook, Peon and Watchman will be based on interview.
- Original documents/certificates of selected staff will be verified from the concerned Board/Institution at the time of appointment.
- Original academic records will be preserved/safeguarded at the District Project Office. Salary will be paid only after document verification.
General Information / Instructions
- Only female candidates will be selected for teaching/non-teaching vacancies in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas. Male candidates must not apply.

- The selected full-time staff (including Caretaker, Head Cook, Peon, Watchman and Assistant Cook) must reside within the school premises. Family members of permanent staff are not permitted to stay on the campus. All staff must arrange their own meals.
- The number of vacancies may increase or decrease as per requirement. Selection is on a service contract basis for one academic session (maximum 11 months / 329 days); if performance is satisfactory, the contract may be extended for the next session.
- On the envelope, the post name, subject, category and reservation category must be clearly mentioned in bold letters. If applying for more than one post, a separate application is required for each post.
- Incomplete, unsigned, or applications without required attachments will be rejected.
- The District Selection Committee reserves the right to cancel this advertisement; no appeal will be entertained thereafter. Typographical errors in the notification remain the responsibility of the issuing authority.
- The Principal will not be appointed separately as a subject-specific teacher for the same subject; subject teaching will be carried out by the Principal herself.
- Reservation benefits will be as per State Government norms. OBC / SC / ST / EWS certificates issued by a competent authority must be attached; otherwise reservation benefits will not be given.
- Candidates with moral turpitude, character/criminal convictions, or declared bankrupt are not eligible.
