Department of Animal Husbandry HP Multi Task Worker (Pashu Mitra) Recruitment 2026 Overview
The candidate should have a minimum qualification of Matric (10th) from any School/Institution situated within HP. The condition of passing 10th from Himachal School shall not be applicable to Bonafide Himachali.
Knowledge of Animal Husbandry Activities & Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of HP.
Preference for Practical Experience in Animal Husbandry: To be decided on the basis of certificate as per Annexure-B.
Salary/ Stipend
Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) per month
Age Limit (as on 31-01-2026)
The Candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age as on the last date of receipt of application i.e. 31st January 2026.

Selection Process
Physical Test: -The candidate will have to undergo physical test The candidate should be able to carry 25 Kg. weight up to 100 meters within one minute. Schedule containing dates, venue and time for holding physical test will be will be intimated separately. Candidates who will qualify/clear the Physical Test will be called for next counselling
Preparation of Merit list: -As per para-No.-8, the Pashu Mitra Engagement Committee (PMEC) will prepare panel of 5 candidates on Merit Basis for each institution, who will be called for document verification with the original at the time of counselling prior to engagement. The Dates/schedule of same will be intimated separately.
General Information / Instructions
1. The candidate must apply on the prescribed form which is appended as Annexure-A with this advertisement and candidates are advised to apply on this format only on A-4 size paper. Application received in any other format except the Annexure-A will be rejected out rightly
2. The application form should be filled in by the candidate in his/her own handwriting with blue/black ink ball point pen.
3. The candidate must fulfill all the required essential educational and other qualifications on the last date fixed for the submission/receipt of application forms.
4. Incomplete application forms e.g. declaration not signed, without photo and enclosures not attached and columns not filled in or application received after due date shall be rejected summarily without assigning any reason.
5. The candidates are required to attach photo copy of valid certificates with his/her application form, issued by competent authorities as detailed against each. At the time of counselling of successful candidates clearing Physical test, verification of original document will be done by the committee.
6. The candidates will have to apply for appointment as "Pashu Mitra" on the application form as per Annexure-A along with self-attested photocopies of Certificates.
7. Candidate applying for Multi Task workers, Pashu Mittra shall compulsorily attach detailed marks sheet of matriculation standard. Evaluation criteria and short listing (if necessary) will be based upon marks obtained in the Matriculation examination and not of any other standard even if higher qualification is obtained.
8. The documents of the applicant shall be verified with the originals at the time of counselling prior to engagement
9. Based on the recommendations of the designated Committee engagement letter in favour of the recommended candidate for engagement as Pashu Mitra will be issued by undersigned, who will have to submit medical fitness certificate over Annexure-C
10. The panel of waiting listed candidates will be prepared and will remain valid for one year from the date of declaration of result. In case the selected candidate fails to join the assignment within period of 15 days or is found medically unfit or dis-engages himself within one year or his engagement is nullified within this period, the undersigned may appoint candidate next in order of Merit under intimation to the Director (AH).
How to Apply
The applications should reach in the office of Senior Veterinary Officer (SVO) of the respective Sub Divisional Veterinary Hospital* where the Pashu Mittra is proposed to be engaged, as per Annexure-D, on or before 31st January 2026 by 3 PM positively.
