Essential Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Library Science, Library Information Science or Library Documentation with at least 55% marks or equivalent Grade in UGC seven point scale
- Consistently good academic record
- At least 10 years as a librarian at any level in University library or 10 years teaching as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science or ten years' experience as a College Librarian
- Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work and professional commitment, computerization of Library

Essential Qualifications:
- MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and must have been registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register
- Completion of compulsory rotating internship, followed by at least 3 years of experience in a recognized hospital
